Edward LeRoy “Trapper†Popejoy passed away at age 78 at his home in Blackfoot from natural causes.
Trapper was born April 23,1933, in Salmon to Hilra L. and Naomi (Moore) Popejoy. He grew up in the Pahsimeroi and Patterson area where he attended grade school. He later attended Challis High School before going to work in the Ima Mine near Patterson. He was the oldest of four children and spoke fondly of life with his father, mother and sisters in Patterson.
