FORT HALL â€” Harold Daniel Schmidt, 84, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at his residence, surrounded by his family.Â Funeral services for Harold will be held today, at 1 p.m. at the LDS Fort Hall Building on Yellowstone Highway, US Highway 91.Â
A viewing will be held from noon until 12:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church.Â Interment will follow the service in the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck.Â
William Leon Ransom, 69, a former resident of Blackfoot,, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 in Dallas, Texas.
Born Dec. 18, 1941 in Blackfoot to William Austin Ransom and Emma Laura Hill Ransom, Leon grew up in Southern Idaho, and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1960. Music was important to Leon throughout his life and he was a member of both the concert and the marching bands through his junior and senior high school years.
Frances Joy Sibley, 76, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at her home.
Frances was born July 18, 1935 in Sunset, Texas to William Wesley Corsby and Katy Sophronia Tison. She spent her childhood in Santa Maria, California, graduating from Santa Maria High School.
On June 6, 1953 Frances married Herschel â€śRedâ€ť Ray Sibley in Santa Monica, California. Together they had six children, Douglas, Darrel, John, Randy, Karen and Noreen.
LaVerda Bingham, 95, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.
LaVerda was born August 11, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Albert Henry Walton and Edith May Petersen.Â She was a long time resident of Moreland, graduating from Moreland High School.Â
On September 23, 1941 LaVerda married Dwight L. Bingham in the Logan LDS Temple.

Harold spent his early childhood in Nebraska, where he lived on his familyâ€™s farm. He later moved to Shelley where he attended high school. Harold eventually settled in Fort Hall where he and his wife raised their family together. Harold resided in Fort Hall until his passing.
Harold married Donna Parkin on Aug. 20, 1948 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in September of 1977.
Clendon Webster Merrill, 75, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at his home.
He was born June 17, 1936 in Rockford, the son of Kenneth and Uarda Merrill.
He attended Snake River Schools where he enjoyed attending agricultural classes and was active in FFA; he was awarded the District Star Farmer his senior year. He graduated from Snake River High School before attending Ricks College.
Clendon served an LDS mission to the Samoan Islands. After his mission he attended Utah State University where he studied agriculture and business.
Jennifer Michelle Lake, 17, of Pocatello, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Nov. 21, 2011.
Jenni was born on Dec. 18, 1993 in Pocatello to Diana Frederick and Michael Lake. She was the third of Michael and Dianaâ€™s eight children and also has an older brother, a younger sister, two stepbrothers and one stepsister.
Wallace Dean Hart, 85, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at his home in Blackfoot.
Wallace was born on Oct. 7, 1926 in Idaho Falls to Clarance and Seretta Mae Green Hart. He was raised in the Pocatello area and graduated from Pocatello High School. He attended Idaho State University and later earned an accounting degree from Brigham Young University.
Sarah Constance Asmus, 18, of Blackfoot passed away Sunday, Nov. 20,
2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Sarah was born March 24, 1993 in Idaho Falls to Kurt Paul Asmus and Elaine Garbarino Asmus.
Sarah was the beloved sister to Rachel Josephine Asmus. She lived her entire lifetime in Blackfoot, attending school in the Snake River School District, graduating in 2011 from Snake River High School as the valedictorian of her class and president of the Honor Society.
Loyal E. Birchell, 96, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at the Bingham Memorial Extended Care Facility in Blackfoot.
Loyal was born on March 21, 1915 in Roosevelt, Utah to Ephriam Smith and Straussie May Schilslar Birchell. He was raised in the Roosevelt area, attended schools in Ouray and Vernal, and graduated from Roosevelt High School.
Loyal served in the Army 77th Division and was a part of the U.S. occupational force in Japan.
