Edwin Jones, 85, passed away on February 13, 2012 at the Lost Rivers Hospital Extended Care Center in Arco. Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Arco.
Minerva Osborne, 80, of Gibson passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Minerva was born Oct. 6, 1931 in Fort Hall to James Osborne Sr. and Jesse Sequints Osborne.Â She attended Stewart Indian School in Carson City, Nev., until the 10th grade and later received her GED at the age of 50.
Minerva held various jobs for the tribe.Â In her free time she enjoyed traditional hand games, Bingo, beadworking, camping and watching basketball.Â Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and her Native American traditions.
Alan Blake Chadwick, 53, of Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012.
He was born June 28, 1958 in Blackfoot to Ralph Lorenzo Chadwick and Karen Marie Keller.
Blake received his education in California, graduating from Hemett High School.
On April 21, 1979, he married Denise Ritchie in Heber, Utah.
Blake farmed for many years and the past four years he had worked at Bingham Coop as a repairman.
He was very talented in woodworking and also enjoyed skeet shooting with his family, collecting and selling guns, and riding dirt bikes with his kids.
LaRue Youd, 87 of Aberdeen passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at The Willows in Blackfoot.
LaRue was born July 2, 1924, in Aberdeen to Paul Dean King and Sabra Norean Kendall.Â She attended grade school in Aberdeen and went on to college at Albion State Normal School.
LaRue married Byron Andreason, June 16, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Â He preceded her in death in 1945.Â She later married James Keith Clayson, Nov. 1, 1948 in Bend, Ore.Â They were later divorced.Â She married Garth Youd, Jan. 17, 1958 in Las Vegas, Nev.

A Traditional Native American Burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Gibson Cemetery. Minerva will be taken to her residence on West Ferry Butte Road at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012 and remain there until her funeral service at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and family until 8 p.m. after the funeral service.
Marvin Roy Denning, 84, of Blackfoot passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at his home from Lou Gehrigâ€™s Disease.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at the Blackfoot 4th Ward LDS Chapel, with Bishop Les Cook conducting. Family will meet with friends and family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at the Groveland Cemetery.

Paul Renshaw Solem, 91, of Blackfoot went behind the veil on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at The Willows in Blackfoot.
Paul was born Jan. 28, 1921 in Springfield, Illinois, to Paul Gerhart and Lutie Viola Renshaw. He was raised in Illinois. His father was a fur coat salesman, so he did a lot of traveling with him, which was Paulâ€™s passion.
Paul was known as the â€śFlying Saucer Prophetâ€ť and held several lectures throughout his life all over the Western states. Paul lived with and was accepted by the Hopi Indians of New Mexico for several years.
Katherine Lynn Churchill-Pierce of Blackfoot passed away early Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at Bingham Memorial Hospital of an unexpected illness.
Kathy was born April 26, 1965 to Sharon Nelson in Pittsburg, Calif., where she was raised. She was very active in school activities and was a Bluebird as a child.
Jonah Mink, 79, of Fort Hall, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at his home.
He was born Nov. 8, 1932 in Salmon, Idaho to Joseph Mink and Cora Pegoga.
Jonah attended school in the Blackfoot School District. He was a truck driver at the Gay Mine and a rancher.
He has been with his companion, Ardith Peyope, for 33 years.
He enjoyed breaking horses, traveling to and singing at Pow Wowâ€™s and Sun Dances. He also enjoyed making Indian saddles.
Buford M.Cornelison, 90, of Blackfoot died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at his home from causes incident to age.
Services will be conducted Wednesday, Feb.8, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Blackfoot Idaho Stake Center, 1650 Highland Drive with Bishop Dale Cunningham officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening in the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling, Blackfoot, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Grove City Cemetery, Blackfoot.
