Elva Aldina Berggren, 92, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at her home.
She was born Nov. 29, 1919 in Cheraw, Colo., to Harold Brewster Wadleigh and Olive Joyce Basinger Wadleigh.
Elva attended schools in various towns in Colorado. She moved to Idaho in the late 1930's, working in the fruit orchards. Her family followed the fruit harvest to several locations in Idaho, but also lived in several locations in Oregon, including Vale, Gresham, and Portland. She had lived in the Lavaside, Idaho area since 1999.
Lydia Thorngren, 89, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 in Idaho Falls.
Funeral services are pending under the direction of Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Hwy. 93, Arco.
Garth Powell, 48,Â formerly of Moore, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 inÂ Caldwell.Â
Funeral service will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Moore LDS Stake Center, with a viewing from 11:30 ~ 12:30 pm prior to service. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Hwy 93, Arco.
Luella Jean Peck Wells, 80 of Blackfoot, passed away March 7, 2012 at Capitol Care in Boise of lingering health problems.
Luella was born Jan. 20, 1932 in Burley to LuRoy Peck and Nettie Jane Wheeler Peck. She spent her younger life in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen High School.
On Nov. 4, 1950 she married Delos Hale Wells. They lived the farming and ranching life for some years in the Springfield and Sterling area.
Luella Jean Wells, 79 of Blackfoot, passed away March 7, 2012, at a care facility in Boise.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at the Moreland LDS Chapel. Burial will follow at the Moreland Cemetery.
Family will visit with friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home, Blackfoot and one hour prior to services at the Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at email@example.com.
Robert Lake, 70, of Blackfoot passed away at his home following a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, March 4, 2012.
He was born on July 11, 1941 in Downey to LaVell Lake and Lanabelle Fox Lake. Robert graduated from Marsh Valley High School and then went on to serve in the US Air Force until he was honorably discharged on Nov. 4, 1959. He lived in Arizona for 32 years where he worked as a truck driver in the copper mine in Miami. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, as well as doing yardwork, reading books and being with his family.
Wayne Humphries, 88, of Shelley passed away at Mount Vernon Assisted Living in Idaho Falls on March 6, 2012.Â He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.Â
He was born Sept. 18, 1923 at Rose(near Blackfoot) to Harold Humphries and Ora May Chaffin Humphries.Â When he was a few months old the family moved to the Woodville area (west of Shelley) where Wayne grew up and attended the Taysom School and Shelley High School.
Claude Theron Wren, 96, of Blackfoot passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at The Willows Care Facility in Blackfoot.
Claude was born on May 27, 1916 in Sugar City.Â He was the second of 12 children born to Theron Field and Eltha Marie Ricks Wren, He was raised in the Ririe area and later moved to the Blackfoot area with his family.Â Claude graduated from Blackfoot High School and later took some classes through the VoTech Program at Idaho State University.
Viola Belnap Collard Stuart, 95, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012, at The Gables Assisted Living in Blackfoot.
Viola was born June 17, 1916, in Kilgore to Edith and George Belnap.Â She attended school in Sugar City, Pocatello, and graduated from Blackfoot High School.
Â Â On Nov. 7, 1934, she married Jarrold Edward Collard in Blackfoot and then was sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on Dec. 19, 1934.
Cinthia Chandler, 53, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, March 2, 2012.
Cinthia was born Aug. 24, 1958 in Blackfoot to Ross and LaFay Chandler.Â She spent her childhood in Firth, graduating from Firth High School in 1976. She later attended Idaho State University in Pocatello. Throughout her life she lived in Spokane, Wash., and Blackfoot.
