Ione Hill, 42, of Gibson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born Sept. 28, 1969 in Blackfoot to Stanford Hill and the late Ardith S. Hill.Â She attended school in Blackfoot, getting her GED and going on to Utah State University in Logan, Utah, with her sister by her side.Â She was a lifetime area resident.
Thomas "Tom" Lee Moss, 67, of Ronan, Mont., passed away peacefully March 25, 2012 at Kalispel Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie B. Moss, step-daughter Jennifer Gardner, Â three daughters from his previous marriage to Julie A. (Hernandez) Moss: Susie Lee Moss of Gibson, Stephanie Ann Moss of Gibson and Debbie Renee Langston (Dave) of Pocatello and step-son Larry Wadsworth (Sonya) of Fort Hall; two sisters, Gloria Whitworth of Polson, Mont. and Marilyn Woods (John) of Blackfoot; 9 grandchildren; andÂ 5 great-grandchildren.
Ralph Elmo Arave, 79, of Jameston, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls on March 23, 2012.
He was born Jan. 5, 1933 in Jameston to Lyman Alma and Mary Louise Arave.
Ed Jenkins was born April 30, 1937 in Victor to Clyde and Blenda Jenkins. He passed away March 17, 2012 in Pocatello.
Ed was the 10th of 13 children. His twin brother Fred died in 1970. Ed was born with severe cognitive and health problems including hearing loss. Ed received treatment at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, until he was five years old.
Raona Ann (Sjostrom) Kesler, 80, a resident of Gooding, passed away March 17, 2012 at her home in Gooding.
She was born April 25, 1931 in Union (now Midvale), Utah, to Lester Charles Sjostrom and Orell Jensen Sjostrom. She attended schools in Rockford and Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1949.
On July 25, 1950, she married Ronald Lynn Clark in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were later divorced.
Moroni Oborn (Rone) Clawson, 83, of Firth left this earth to return to his Heavenly Father on March 19, 2012.Â He passed away peacefully at home, from pancreatic cancer.Â
Rone was born to Ray and Veva Harker Clawson on July 24, 1928 in Shelley.Â When he was six weeks old, his family moved from Idaho to Montana, settling in Charlo where he went to elementary school and started high school. He returned to Idaho in 1947 and completed the last two years at Shelley High School.Â
Roland Don Winberg, 75, of Blackfoot passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Pocatello Care and Rehabilitation Center in Pocatello.
Roland was born March 8, 1937 in Murray, Utah to Carl Einer Winberg and Helen Annie Pieper. He received his education in the Salt Lake area, living in the Blackfoot area since 1969.
Roland served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a medic.
On Oct. 13, 1967 Roland married Carolyn Shelton in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Roland farmed all his life, farming in the McDonaldville area. He was a past member of the Elks Lodge.
William âBillâ Garner Warner, 75, of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 21, 1937 in Stanley to Sadie and Garner Warner.Â When it was time for Bill to go to school his family moved to Salmon so he could start the first grade.Â He graduated from Salmon High School.
On Dec. 10, 1955 he married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Mary Higley in Salmon where they resided until 1967 when they moved their family to Blackfoot.
Robert James âDudleyâ Pfeifer, 85, of Firth passed away at his home March 15, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was under the care of Blackfoot Home Health and Hospice.
Bob was born Sept. 10, 1926 in Victoria, Kansas to Frank and Mary Pfeifer. He was second in a family of eight children. He grew up in Kansas, then went to Boys Town before joining the US Navy. He served from 1944 to 1947 as a gunner and a first class boatswainâs mate on the USS Munda during World War II.
Ted âTeddyâ Eric Dunbar, 44, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at his home.Â
Teddy was born Jan. 30, 1968 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to George Robert Dunbar and Susan Elaine Morris.Â He grew up in Devils Lake, N.D., worked in Alaska and lived in Becker, Minn. for a short time.Â He attended college in Bozeman, Mont.
Teddy married Danielle Wellard for nearly 14 years;they were later divorced.
