May 30th
Warren Davis, 88, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, May 28, 2012.Â
Warren was born Nov.22, 1923, in Cottage Grove, Ore., to Howard Milton Davis and Minnie Sarah Barry Davis. He was raised in Fort Hall and attended school in Blackfoot. After high school, Warren attended college one year before joining the Navy. In the Navy he helped build the airport in Okinawa during World War II.
On June 24, 1950 Warren married Theona Jones in Elko, Nev.Â
Norma Jean Mooney Hawkes, 83, of Shelley passed away May 27, 2012, at her home of natural causes.
 Norma Jean was born May 17, 1929, in Idaho Falls to James Mooney and Grace Wilson Mooney. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
 On Nov.24, 1949, she married Donald Thomas Hawkes in Goshen. They made their home in Goshen where they raised their two sons, James and Kim. Norma Jean was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked as a lab technician at French’s and Pillsbury in Shelley for many years. Don passed away Jan.10, 1993.
Lisha Hope Zeim (34) was granted her angel wings on May 16, 2012. (Born 7/3/77) Lisha lived in West Valley City, UT. Lisha’s children were her greatest joy; Azia Rain, River Corbin and Wesley Paydon. Lisha was married to Brandon Archabald (1995-96) and Corbin Mckinlay (1996-98). She is survived by mother, Marge (Dennis) Thornton of WVC, and father, Jim (Florence) Zeim of Nyack NY.

Marvin “Marv” Ward Dayley, 89, of Blackfoot passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Blackfoot.Â
He was born on March 5, 1923 in Jamieson, Ore., to Ward and Teresa Dayley and moved to Eastern Idaho with his family when he was two years old.

Alex Diaz, 81, of Blackfoot passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Bingham
Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 14, 1930, to Manuel and Magdalena Vargas Diaz, the fifth child of seven.
He attended Tyhee School until the eighth grade. At the young age of 15, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. When he was 18, he was deployed to Korea, which after only two months he was wounded. For this he was awarded a Purple Heart. During his stay in the hospital recuperating from his wound, he met Barbara Ann Rodarme in 1951.Â

Vernon Lloyd Bigelow, a 63-year-old Blackfoot resident, died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at the Bingham Memorial Hospital from a sudden illness.Â
He was born March 19, 1949 in Blue Island, Chicago. Ill., the son of Lloyd Holden Bigelow and Bertha Mary Frances Zehm.
He attended grade school in Chicago and graduated from high school in Mesa, Ariz.
He married Patricia Ann Leafty and they were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. They were later divorced.
Vernon has lived the past 20 years in Blackfoot.
May 22nd
Douglass James Reid, 85, of Firth, passed away peacefully at the home of his brother, Fred, on Sunday, May 13, 2012.
Doug was born to Robert E. and Agnes Just Reid on Sep. 11, 1926, the fourth child in a loving family of five boys. He was raised along the Blackfoot River in Lower Presto. He loved learning, and after walking two miles each way to catch the bus to Firth High School, was named class valedictorian.
Robert (Bob) James Hauck, 68, died May 19, 2012, at the Lost Rivers Medical Center in Arco.
He was born on May 8,1944 in Longmont, Colo. His father, Robert Joseph Hauck, died in World War II on Nov. 14, 1944. His mother, Betty Hauck Schell died on April 10, 2011. His parents were married in June 1942 and had him in 1944. His father was a PFC in the US Army and died shortly after his birth.
Bob was raised in Longmont until he enlisted in the Navy in November of 1963. He served in the Vietnam War and several other smaller conflicts.
May 18th
CINCINNATI, Ohio – Guy C Van Orden, 59, died Friday, May 11, 2012 at his home in Cincinnati where he lost his valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
Guy was born Oct. 6, 1952 in Blackfoot, the son of Cyril E and Nola Rae Wheeler Van Orden. He was the oldest of six children.
Guy grew up in Riverside and attended Moreland and Riverside Elementary, Snake River Junior High and Snake River High School.
His family moved to Spokane, Wash., in 1968, where Guy attended and graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1970.
James Henry Haroldsen, 73, of Pingree, Idaho passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center due to an aortic dissection.

He was born June 22, 1938 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Ancel Henry Haroldsen and Eliza Eldora Andersen Haroldsen. He grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
James continued his education at Brigham Young University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Husbandry.
