May 18th
Merle Hillman Eskelsen, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Blackfoot passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the age of 85. Merle was the wife of the late Milton Dwayne Eskelsen of Blackfoot, Idaho.
            Merle was born on January 8, 1927, the daughter of Gheen Hillman and Eva Buxton in Driggs, Teton County, Idaho.Â

David Randall “Dave” Adams, 61, of Blackfoot passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at his home following a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born Dec. 1, 1950 in Wendell to William David and Imogene Cannon Adams. Dave was raised in Wendell and has also lived in Idaho Falls, Boise and Blackfoot. He spent 37 years in Groveland surrounded by friends and family.
On March 8, 1974 Dave married Dorine Munk in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple.

Norma Lorraine Daniels Best, 84
Norma Lorraine Daniels Best, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Sandy, Utah.Â
She was born on June 27, 1927, to Clifford and Velta Jolley Daniels in Blackfoot. She had one younger sister, Evah, and two younger brothers, Delwin and Leon.Â
Norma attended Irving Grade School, Blackfoot Junior High, and Blackfoot High School (class of 1945.) She was involved in the safety patrol, student council, choir, and the Pep Club. In addition, she attended and graduated from LDS Seminary.Â

   Robert “Keith” Pendlebury, 83, of lifetime resident of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at his home in Blackfoot.
           Keith was born on December 2, 1928 in Blackfoot, Idaho to John Henry and Cecile Nell Harper Pendlebury. He attended Blackfoot schools and graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1947.Â
       Marian Jensen, 88, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho.
May 3rd
Shirley Fox Hager, 94, of Aberdeen passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Blackfoot of natural causes.
Shirley was born on June 6, 1917 in Downey. She was the fourth child of six born to Raymond and Mary Elizabeth Burrup Fox. Shirley was raised in Downey.
Shirley was married to Caleb Verl Vaughn where she had four children. They were later divorced. She then met and married John L. Hager who had three daughters and in this union added four sons.
Cliff Benson, 56, of Blackfoot, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012.He was born on March 19, 1956, in Pocatello, to Sam and Shirley Benson. He grew up in Pocatello and attended Franklin Junior High and Pocatello High School, where he met his first wife, Sandy Allison. They had one child, Jamie. They were later divorced.
Later, he met and married LaDawn Tharp on July 24, 1976. There were two children born from this union, Jeff and Joe. They lived on the family farm in Taber, outside of Blackfoot, for 30 years.
Cliff was a veteran of the United States Army.
May 2nd
Twila Leona Russell Humphries, 86, of Ammon,
passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Idaho Falls Care and Rehab Center.Â
She was born Sept. 14, 1925 at her Aunt Violet Lords’ home in Taylor, near Shelley, to Edward Jackson Russell and Hazel Vinona Taysom Russell.
April 26th
MONTPELIER — EZRA SAMUEL PAYNE, 94, beloved father and grandfather returned home to his Heavenly Father April 24, 2012.
He was born on Dec. 9, 1917 to Lot Leo and Hattie Hayes Payne in Stringtown, Idaho.
His childhood was spent in Georgetown where he helped his dad farm. He
graduated from Georgetown High School where he enjoyed playing basketball.
Ezra married the love of his life, LaWanda Koford, on Dec. 4, 1944 in
Pocatello. They were later sealed in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple on June
24, 1966. They were married 66 years before she passed away, and Ezra lost his best friend.
Anne Mary Novosad Moses, 92
Anne was born April 16, 1920, to Susie and Paul Novosad. Her younger years were all spent in the Blackfoot area and she attended and graduated from the St. Margaret's Catholic School.
Anne married Gordon Eugene Moses on June 16, 1937 and they spent their first few years herding sheep in Idaho. In 1944 they moved to Jackson Hole, Wyo., where they raised their seven children — Bonnie (Jim) Wright, Beverly Ann Porta, Ruby Gott (Steve Stone), Russel (Judy) Moses, Judy (Agustin) Ugalde, Deanna Mason and Linda (Gary) Hedges.
