Orva LaRee Park, 90, of Blackfoot, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 to join her husband, Danny, after 45 years.
She was born April 7, 1922 in Blackfoot to Ernest Otto and Mary Jane Simper Lilya.¬† During World War II she moved to California and worked as a switchboard operator.
On July 28, 1944 she married ‚ÄúDanny‚ÄĚ Myron Earl Park in Temple, Texas.¬† Their marriage was solemnized in the in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple on March 13, 1946.¬† They made their home in the Groveland-Rose area.¬† Danny preceded Orva in death in 1967 and in1974 she moved her family from Groveland to Blackfoot.
ELGIN, South Carolina ‚Äď Funeral service for Everlyne E. Glinski, 84, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Tri-County.
Mrs. Glinski died Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Born in Johnsonville, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Madie Stone Evans. She enjoyed traveling and loved the years she spent in Idaho and Arizona.
Wilford C. ‚ÄúNick‚ÄĚNicholson, 80, of Blackfoot, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at his home.
He was born Aug.14, 1931 in Battle Mountain, Nev., to Wilford Leslie Nicholson and Dolly Brown.
He was raised in Elko, Nev., and attended schools there.¬† He moved around the country with his military family to various stations.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
On May 3, 1954, he married Lenus Wright in Reno, Nev..¬† She preceded him in death on July 1, 2009.
¬†He later married Dolores R. Jordan on Dec. 8, 2010.
Jerry Bart Windous, 49, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, April 6, 2012, at his home from a lingering illness.
Jerry was born March 20, 1963 in Ely, Nev., to Jerry Franklin Windous and Louise Laneve Hunt.¬† He graduated in 1981 from Owyhee High School in Owyhee, Nev.¬† He lived many different places, including Wildhorse, Sunnyside and Baker, Nev., moving to Moreland in 1999.
On Aug. 20, 1983 Jerry married Brenda Hood in Wildhorse, Nev.¬†
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah ‚ÄĒ Our Loving Mother, Wife, NeNe, Sister, Aunt and Friend returned to the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father on March 29, 2012 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. We are so grateful to have such a great example of love, compassion, patience and faith that she was to us.
Norma Jorgensen Woods, 92, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away
Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† Norma was born November 29, 1919 in Groveland, Idaho to John E. Jorgensen and Mary Ann McCracken.¬†
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† In 1937 Norma married Thomas Harrison Woods.¬† Together they had five children, Nedra, Sara, Sandra, Thomas and Dennis.
Elizabeth Kay Sequints, 72, of Fort Hall, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children and loved ones, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her home.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† She was born July 19, 1939 in Owyhee, Nevada to Raymond Warren¬† and Mary Stanley. She attended school Owyhee and moved to Blackfoot when she was a teenager.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† Elizabeth loved traveling to pow wows and watching sports. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. She also enjoyed going out to eat with her family and friends.¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†
Tina Marie Signs Cummings, 44, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho from heart failure.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† Tina was born on March 6, 1968 in San Diego County, California to Denny Signs and Patti Harris.¬† She attended school in California, graduating from high school in San Diego County.
Ione Hill, 42, of Gibson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born Sept. 28, 1969 in Blackfoot to Stanford Hill and the late Ardith S. Hill.¬† She attended school in Blackfoot, getting her GED and going on to Utah State University in Logan, Utah, with her sister by her side.¬† She was a lifetime area resident.
Thomas "Tom" Lee Moss, 67, of Ronan, Mont., passed away peacefully March 25, 2012 at Kalispel Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie B. Moss, step-daughter Jennifer Gardner, ¬†three daughters from his previous marriage to Julie A. (Hernandez) Moss: Susie Lee Moss of Gibson, Stephanie Ann Moss of Gibson and Debbie Renee Langston (Dave) of Pocatello and step-son Larry Wadsworth (Sonya) of Fort Hall; two sisters, Gloria Whitworth of Polson, Mont. and Marilyn Woods (John) of Blackfoot; 9 grandchildren; and¬†5 great-grandchildren.
