Donna Matsuura Yamagata
(3/12/1924 – 9/20/2012)

Born March 12, 1924 in Rexburg to Tsuruyo (Kanamoto) and Seiichiro Matsuura and passed away Sept. 20, 2012 in Salt Lake City. Donna attended Madison High School in Rexburg.
She married John Yamagata, May 9, 1944 and relocated to Minneapolis, Minn., where John attended Language School for the Military Intelligence Service and Donna attended clothing design school. Donna was a fabulous seamstress and was able to add style and elegance to everything she touched.

Viola Galloway, 57

Viola Galloway, 57, of Blackfoot passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at her home.
She was born Dec.16, 1954 in Pocatello to Frank Galloway and Georgina Teton.
She lived in the Blackfoot area for most of her life.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Viola worked in the Gay Mines as a heavy equipment operator.  She was a custodian at the Indian Health Clinic and also Sho-Ban High School.

Danny Clarence Hawley, 59

Danny Clarence Hawley, 59, of Ucon passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at his home.
Danny was born Dec. 5, 1952 in Blackfoot to Clarence Glenn Hawley and Nevada Ellen Wortley.  He was raised in Howe and attended grade school in Howe, graduating from Butte High School and then attended two years of college at Idaho State University.
In 1974 Danny married Agnes Marie Webb.  They were later divorced.

Kent W. Phelps, 76

Kent W. Phelps, 76, Blackfoot, passed Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 in Pocatello, surrounded by family after a battle with an illness.
He was born on Aug. 30, 1936, in Montpelier to Justin Walter Phelps and Opal Lucille Oakey. Kent met his true love, Nancy Ann Olsen, through a penpal courtship through a military serviceman’s newsletter and they were married on Aug. 3, 1957. They had recently celebrated 55 years together.

Almo Bud Womack, 88

Almo Bud Womack, 88, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, Sept.17, 2012 at his home.
He was born October 3, 1923 in Riverton, Idaho, to Walter Nathaniel Womack and Julia Ann Teeples.  He attended school in Blackfoot and Ashton.  Almo served his country in the Army in World War II, spending time in Texas and San Francisco, Calif.
On Oct. 8, 1942 Almo married Doris L. Wallace in Blackfoot.  Together they had nine children, Wesley, LaVerl, Barry, DeRay, Lavon, Brice, Teddy, Dianna and Dorena.
Almo was a farmer, mechanic and logger.  In his free time he enjoyed gardening. 

Chrislene (BadHawk-Tyler) Toane, 52

FORT HALL — Chrislene (BadHawk-Tyler) Toane, 52, passed away at home in the arms of her husband Harvey on Sept. 16, 2012.
Chrislene was born to Eva Tyler and Gene Bad Hawk on Feb. 25, 1960, in Pocatello. She was an enrolled member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe. Her father was a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of Poplar, Mont.

Ed Bullock, 70

CHUBBUCK – Edwood L. Bullock, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Sept.15, 2012
Ed was born June 8, 1942, in Murray, Utah, the first of five children born to Woodrow Vance and Lorraine (Meacham) Bullock.
He was raised and educated in the Grace and Soda Springs area. He held a state high school track record for the mile for many years. During his high school years, he ran a trap line to raise money to purchase sporting goods.

Robert Allen Troumbley, 79

    Robert Allen Troumbley, 79 of Blackfoot passed away September 15, 2012 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital.
            He was born September 3, 1933 in Fort Ann, New York, the son of Warren and Ethel Elizabeth Brayman Troumbley.
            Robert attended school in New York in his early years. He later moved to Orem, Utah   where attended Utah Valley Community College for a few years.
            Robert married Sharon Layne O’Neil on December 23, 1958 in Hudson Falls, New York.

Gene “Fat Boy” Taylor-

Firth, ID  Gene “Fat Boy” Taylor, 43 year Idaho Falls resident and former Blackfoot resident, died on Friday evening, September 14, 2012,  from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident after colliding with a deer on Highway 91 on the out-skirts of Firth.

Kelly K. Thomas, 68

September 18, 2012

Kelly K. Thomas, 68, of Blackfoot passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at Kimball’s Residential Care Facility in Blackfoot.
Kelly was born April 13, 1944 in Pocatello to Robert K. Thomas and Mable Thomas.  He attended school in Pocatello, graduating from Highland High School.  He then attended and graduated from Idaho State University's Vo-Tech program in Merchandising Management and Auto Body.  He worked a number of years in auto body and at Idaho State University.
He made his home in Blackfoot at Kimball’s Residential Care Facility.
