James â€śJimâ€ť Guymon, a 66-year-old Blackfoot resident, died at his home , Sunday, May 26, 2013Â following his second battle with lung cancer.
He was born March 11, 1947 in Pocatello, the son of James Maurice Guymon and Rhoda Jones Guymon.
He attended school in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High school . He joined the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War.Â He was always proud of his service time and was very patriotic.
Â Â Â Â Upon leaving the service, he married Peggy Byrd.Â They had one child, Alysha Lynn.Â Jim and Peggy were later divorced.
Dallas Hepworth Horrocks, 86, of Blackfoot passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2013 following an extended illness.
She was the first of six daughters born to Gladys and DeLynn Hepworth on Feb. 12, 1927 in Blackfoot.
During her schooling, she enjoyed learning and excelled in track.Â Dallas graduated from Blackfoot High School and later received a bachelorâ€™s degree in Education from Idaho State University.Â Following her college graduation she enjoyed teaching English at the Blackfoot Middle School until her retirement in 1985.Â
Dan L. Christensen died at his home in Blackfoot, May 26, 2013, from esophageal cancer.Â
He was born to Edith and Vestal Christensen at the Eaton Maternity Home in Shelley on Dec. 15, 1945.Â He attended Taylor Elementary School. The family moved to the 70 Bar Ranch in Chesterfield in 1959. He graduated from North Gem High School in Bancroft in 1963.
Rick was born March 22, 1951 at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada; he died May 25, 2013 in Boise. He was the second child born to Carma and Leo â€śJackâ€ť Kirwan; his siblings, Brad Kirwan, Scott Kirwan, and Ann (Rhett) Petersen.
Rick grew up in the Blackfoot area and graduated from Snake River High School in 1969 and Idaho State University in 1973. Rick was a CPA and lived in Hayward, Calif.; Salem Ore.; Twin Falls; Pocatello; and Boise, where he resided for over 30 years.
Dona E. Wheeler Sanford Belnap, 94
1918 â€“ 2013
Dona Eliza Wheeler was born Aug. 22, 1918, in Moreland, the oldest daughter of Austin and Lurlean (England) Wheeler.
She died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at the home of her granddaughter/son Julie and Todd Jorgensen.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Paul LDS Stake Center, 424 Ellis, with a viewing an hour prior to the service. A viewing will also be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, at the Morrison Payne Funeral Home, 321 E. Main St., Burley. Burial is at noon Tuesday, May 28, at the Paul cemetery.
Â Peggy A. Sjostrom, 69, passed away Monday,Â May 20, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital from natural causes.
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Peggy was born September 25, 1943 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Ken Mecham and Anita Jensen.Â She spent time in Seattle, Washington as well as in Blackfoot.
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â She is survived by one daughter, Cindy (Alan) Krause; four sons, Jessie (Danny) Mitchell, Terry (Marie) Hoskins, Troy (Juanita) Hoskins and Jerry (Bernie) Bunce; five sisters, Shirley Mecham, Bonnie Evans, Deone (Max) Anderson, Tina (Conci) Mejia and Chris (Ken) Buck; many grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
Ted Waine Kinney, 86, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away peacefully, Monday, May 20, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â He was born November 2, 1926 in Blackfoot, Idaho the son of Norma Seamons and Waine Vernon Kinney.
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ted enjoyed growing up on a farm just east of Blackfoot.
Our husband, father and friend, Loyal â€śDeanâ€ť Neihart, 66, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at his home with family and friends surrounding him after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born to Arthur Earl and Edna Bernice Neihart on November 21, 1946 in Yakima, Washington.Â The family moved back to Blackfoot where he attended school, worked at Kraft Foods and broke horses.
Lou Ann Lee, 84, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.
Lou Ann was born August 4, 1928 in Lubbock, Texas to Richard Henry Maxwell and Edna Hazel Ireland. She was raised in Texas and graduated from high school in Shallowater, Texas.
She married Kenneth â€śKenâ€ť Lee in Lubbock, Texas. They lived in Lubbock, Texas, Murtaugh, Idaho, Salt Lake City, Utah, Odessa, Amarillo and Dallas, Texas, Boise, Idaho and for the last 15 years lived in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Byron Max Sayer, 68, of Thatcher, AZ formerly of Leslie, Idaho, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center.
Viewing will be on Friday, May 17, 2103 7-9 p.m. at the Lost River Funeral Home in Arco, Idaho and Funeral at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Leslie LDS Church with viewing one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Mackay Idaho Cemetery.
