James "Jim" Lee Dial of Shelley lost his battle with cancer August 28 2013.Â
James was born in Blackfoot, July 17, 1951 to Bob and LaVaun Beasley Dial. His early years were spent on Cedar Creek Ranch. Â At the age of three the family moved to Firth where he resided till moving to Shelley in 1989.
Â Â Â Â In August of 1974 he met the love of his life and soul mate Kristina Johnson and they were married April 19, 1975.

Curt Ashton Jr., 31 year old long time resident of Fort Hall,Â died Tuesday, August 20, 2013, in Pocatello from an extended illness.
Traditional burial services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24th at the Sandhill Cemetery in Fort Hall.
Gayland Durney Wright, 80, of Blackfoot,, passed away Sunday, Aug.18, 2013 at The Emerald House in Blackfoot.
He was born Dec. 9, 1932 in Blackfoot, the son of Arnold F. And Stenna Jane Durney Wright.
He graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1950.Â He then attended Utah State University in Logan and enrolled in the ROTC program.Â He was a pilot in the Air Force and was stationed overseas and in the United States.
On December 19, 1978 he married Leslie Carr in Elko, Nev.Â She preceded him in death on July 22, 1994.
One of his favorite pastimes was reading.
Madison Kaye 'Maddie' Bartausky, 20
Madison Kaye â€śMaddieâ€ť Bartausky, 20, of Blackfoot passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Aug. 12, 1993 to Frank John Bartausky and Diane Marie Surdam in Blackfoot.Â Â Â Â Â
Carol Ann Holm Esplin, beloved wife and mother, passed peacefully, Aug. 10, 2013 surrounded by her loving family, from a lingering illness.
She was born March 13, 1935 in Idaho Falls to Arthur and Thelma Holm.Â She was the second of two children.Â Â At age two her family moved to a farm near Basalt.Â She attended school in Basalt and graduated from Firth High School.Â She went to business college and worked for a bank and tire company.Â Her secretary and accounting experience benefited her throughout her life as she took care of the bookwork for the family farm.
Robert L. â€śBobâ€ť Andersen, 89, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at Touchmark at Meadow Lake Village in Meridian.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2920 Cassia Street, Boise. There will be a viewing at 10:30 a.m., prior to the services at the church. Burial will be on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot.
Elvira Packer Adams Jeffs, 96
Elvira took her first mortal breath in Virginia, Idaho, Nov. 8, 1916.Â She was the second of nine children born to Nessie Mecham Packer and Edsel Hyrum Adams.Â Her brothers and sisters include Una (Tate), Dean, Hyrum, Raymond, Edna (Manwaring), Norma (Furniss), Donna (Springer), and Darrell.Â She has spent most of her years in the Idaho Falls and Blackfoot area.
Times were hard, yet happiness and love radiated from the Adams home--wherever that home may have been.Â Her life has been filled with memorable eventsâ€”which are just as vivid today as they were then.Â
James â€śJimâ€ťÂ Allen Harrington, 60, of Blackfoot passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 at his home.
Jim was born Aug. 28, 1952 to Cleo Clifford Harrington and Vernetta Mae Campain in Idaho Falls.Â He was raised in Blackfoot from sixth grade on, graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1970.
On June 8, 1971 Jim married Karen M. Lowe in Blackfoot.Â They have been married for 42 years.
Dorothy L. Martin, 99, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, Aug, 9, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Dorothy was born March 6, 1914 in Riverside to Ole William Peterson and Effie May Goold.Â Dorothy attended school in Riverside, then transferred to Blackfoot when the family home burned down and forced the family to relocate.Â She graduated from Blackfoot High School.
She was raised in the Riverside area and moved to McCammon in 1945; to Santa Maria, Calif. in 1960 and returned to Blackfoot in 1965 and lived there ever since.
Neil A. L. Sterr, 83, passed away on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at his home in Pocatello due to complications associated with age.Â
Neil was born in BelĂ©n, New Mexico, on Aug. 1, 1930, the youngest son of Joseph and Gertrude Nelson Sterr.
He attended elementary school in Wheeler, Mont., and attended high school in American Falls where he graduated from American Falls High School in 1948.
At the age of 21 Neil was drafted into the US Army and served his country in Korea.Â
