Justine Batt, 56, of Fort Hall passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at the Fort Hall Elderly Complex in Fort Hall.
Justine was born Oct. 6, 1956 in Pocatello to Robert Batt and Freda George. She was raised and received her education in Fort Hall.
She enjoyed beading, cooking, watching horror movies, going to the casino, arts and crafts, drawing, crocheting and knitting.
She was employed at 4 Directions as an assistant cook and a cook at Elderly Nutrition. She also worked in the potato fields.
Marcene Edith Hulse, 69, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Marcene was born on Sept. 2, 1943 in Shelley to Devon Hyrum and Edith Morris Fowler. She was raised primarily in the Blackfoot area and attended schools in Blackfoot and Ashton.
On Sept. 13, 1962 Marcene was married to Ralph Hulse in Blackfoot. Their union was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple in 1966. Ralph preceded Marcene in death on Feb. 21, 2012.
Cecelia Gertrude Vogt, 88, of Blackfoot passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.
She was born July 16, 1924 in Blackfoot, the daughter of Marcus Blenkle and Anna Arvish.
Cecilia attended schools in Blackfoot through the 10th grade
On Oct. 19, 1947, she married Joseph Vogt in San Francisco, Calif. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1995.
She returned to Blackfoot in 1963 where she has resided since. She was a parishioner of the Roman Catholic Church.

Evelyn “Aunt Evie” Whitaker, 89, of Blackfoot passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Bingham Memorial Hospital from a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Jamestown, Idaho, the daughter of Terrance C. Anderson and Cora Harker Anderson.
She graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1942 and has lived in the Blackfoot area for most of her life.
Boise — Karen Andreason was born April 15, 1956 in Idaho Falls to John and Darlene (Hopla) Andreason. She was raised in Arco with siblings Tom, Dale and Lori.
Karen attended school in Arco until she moved with her family to Boise in 1971. Karen graduated from Capital High School in 1974. Karen passed away at home peacefully on Feb. 9, 2013.
She married Butch Moore in Boise on July 16, 1977 and on Feb. 24, 1978 her daughter Anna Marie Josephine was born. On Sept. 26 1979 her youngest daughter Lisa Michelle was born. Karen and Butch later divorced.
Gloria Fern Moss Whitworth, 75, of Polson, Mont. and formerly of Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Mont.
Gloria was born Oct. 11, 1937 in St. Ignatius, Mont. to Henry Moss and Elsie Truchot. She attended school in St. Ignatius, Mont. and Fort Hall.. She lived different places in Montana and Idaho, spending the last three years in Polson.
In 1953 Gloria married Gene Whitworth. They were later divorced.
Sherri Rae Cerino, 27, of Pocatello, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
Sherri was born August 29, 1985 in Pocatello, Idaho, to Silas Vincent Cerino and Robin Dorce Flint Cerino. She attended high school at the Sho-Ban High School. She lived all of her life in Idaho in the Fort Hall and Pocatello area.
She was a member of the Native American Church.
Earl Alfred Young, 71, of Blackfoot, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at his home.
He was born March 11, 1941 in Pingree to William Alfred and Orissa Susana Taylor Young. He attended elementary school in Pingree, junior jigh in Pocatello and earned his GED in Oregon. He continued his education at Idaho State University. Earl lived in Washington state for 30 years before returning to the Blackfoot area in 2008.
On Dec. 30, 1975 he married Shirley Smith at Twin Falls.
Earl was a truck driver and made long hauls to Oregon and Canada.
Vivian Frances Calee Smith, 85 passed away in her home in Prattville, Ala., Feb. 11, 2013.
She had been diagnosed with malignant lymphoma in 1998.
She was married to Harry Smith. They were later separated.
She worked at Bingham Memorial Hospital as a volunteer. She worked at the Eastern Idaho State Fair as a cook for the entertainers.
She was a member of the Blackfoot Southern Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Raymond Smith of Prattville; nephews, Chris Calee and Chip Calee of Prattville; cousins Bea Wallace of Blackfoot and Ruth Weitz of San Angelo, Texas.
Gaylynn Gurney Mortensen. 1967-2013
Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend, Gaylynn Gurney Mortensen (45) passed away peacefully Feb. 7, 2013, at her family home in Herriman, Utah.
