Dorothy Jean Small Casper, 85
St. George, Utah â€“ Dorothy Jean Small Casper, 85, died on Nov. 4, 2014 in St. George, Utah.Â
She was born on Aug. 12, 1929 in Gadsden, Alabama to Albert Luke Small and Prudence Johnston. She was married to Lorin Willis Casper in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 26, 1949. On Oct. 26, 2014, they had been sealed for 65 years.
Dorothy was born and raised in Alabama. She attended Emma Sampson High School, and later attended the University of Alabama, where she studied nursing.
Rick Allen 59, a former resident of Blackfoot, lost his battle to cancer on Oct. 30 in an Anchorage, Alaska hospital. He was a resident of Alaska for the past 23 years.
His parents are Dallas and Virginia Allen; siblings, Ron, Rocky, Rob, and Lora Uriona. One brother Rusty preceded him in death.
A private family service and burial will take place at a later date in Anaconda, Montana.
Leonard â€śDeWayneâ€ť Young, 76, of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at the Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehab.
DeWayne was born March 17, 1938 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Alice Gillis Young and Leonard Young. Â
Ignacio Ramirez, Jr., 37, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at his home.
He was born June 19, 1977 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Ignacio Ramirez, Jr. and Rose Mary Ramirez. He grew up in Blackfoot and attended schools in this area. Â
On July 3, 2003, he married Cecilia Perez in Idaho Falls.
Ignacio worked for King B, Spudnik, Jiffy Lube and Simplot.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, hunting, cooking, listening to music and watching scary movies.
Katherine Morgan Tovey, 85
Katherine Morgan Tovey was born Jan. 31, 1929, the ninth of 12 children, to Ed and Cassie Morgan in Malad, Idaho. She graduated from Malad High School in 1947, attended BYU for a year before marrying Terrel R. Tovey on June 14, 1949. She and Terrel lived in Logan, Utah until 1952 while he completed his MS degree at Utah State, and where she proudly received her PHT (Putting Hubby Through) degree.
Louis Adam Tauscher, 91
Louis Adam Tauscher, 91 of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Friday October 31, 2014 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.
Louis was born April 9, 1923, in Ogallah, Kansas, the 4th child, (the second of twins with Edward being 1st) of 17 born to Frank Joseph Tauscher and Regina Honas Tauscher.Â At the age of 13 the Tauscher family moved to Pocatello, Idaho, were Louis attended St. Joseph grade school.Â He worked at Elmerâ€™s Fish Market along with his 6 brothers until April of 1943 when he enlisted in the Army.Â
Larry Lee Justesen, 77, of Basalt, Idaho passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 at his home with his family by his side.
Larry was born Dec. 4, 1936 in Richfield, Utah to James Arthur Justesen and Etha Ella Eversole.Â He was raised in the Blackfoot area,Â attending school in the Blackfoot School District.Â He moved to Basalt 10 years ago.
On Nov. 27, 1999, Larry married Shauna Swearingen in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Craig 'Oscar' Ogden, 55
Craig â€śOscarâ€ť Ogden left this life suddenly on Monday, October 20, 2014. He was a loving son, brother, father, coach and friend.
Doreene Kay Harris passed away October 25, 2014 at home with her loved ones by her side. Her last few days were spent with the strength and determination to keep fighting to make it to see her daughters birthday on the 25th of October.Â
She was born September 21, 1957 in Pocatello, Idaho to Geraldine â€śJerryâ€ť Cutler and Gerry Hendricks. She was the third of six children born to this union. She attended schools in Pocatello, Blackfoot, and Cheyenne Wyoming where she graduated from East High in 1976.Â
Arland J â€śBuckâ€ť Buxton, 87, of Rexburg and formerly of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, in Rexburg, Idaho.
He was born June 14, 1927, at Driggs, Idaho, to John and Susie Geneva Henrie Buxton.
Arland was raised and attended school in Driggs, graduating from Teton High School.Â Following graduation he attended Utah State University, where he earned a bachelorâ€™s degree in Agronomy and participated in the R.O.T.C. program. Â
Buck served in United States Marines during World War II, in the Pacific Theater.
