Marilyn Petersen Dye, 76 Our wonderful mother, Marilyn Petersen Dye, passed away on August 3, 2013 from complications due to a bleeding ulcer. She was a young 76 years old, having had her birthday just a week before.
She was born on July 28, 1937 in Pocatello, Idaho to Arthur and Nellie Petersen. She grew up in Moreland, Idaho and graduated from Snake River High School where she led the baton twirling team.
Sandra Kay Bradshaw, 66, of Wapello, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer that she met with grace, strength and beauty.
Â She was born August 19, 1946 in Blackfoot to Marvin Ernest and Elizabeth Jane Holden Lilya.Â Sandra was a lifetime area resident.Â She attended Groveland Elementary School and graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1965.
Â On June 20, 1964 she married Bruce Bradshaw in Blackfoot.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and also attended the Calvary Chapel.
Preston - Devoted and beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother dad and friend, Homer Leon Nielson, 90, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the home of his daughter in Blackfoot.Â
He was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Cleveland, Idaho, the ninth child among 10 born to Edgar Odland and Catherine Ann Bevins Nielson.Â His early years were spent on a homestead in the foothills, of the Cleveland mountains on the west side of what was called Gentile Valley.Â
Joyce H. James, 86, passed away July 28, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah from natural causes.Â
Joyce was born June 3, 1927 in Idaho Falls to Oliver D. and Violet Hendrickson.
Joyce was raised in Idaho Falls and graduated from high school in 1945.Â She attended college in Logan, Utah at Utah State University.Â While there she met J. Carl James and they were married in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS Temple on June 30, 1948.Â At that time Joyce left school and started a family.
Douglas Adam Polatis, 27, passed away July 26, 2013, from complications of diabetes and a seizure disorder.Â
He was born April 1, 1986, in Blackfoot to Kevon Lowell and Betty Ann Christiansen Polatis.Â
Douglas loved the Denver Broncos football team.Â He also loved to watch monster trucks, play video games, 4- wheeling, and fishing.Â Â His greatest friends were his family and he was always excited when they were here.Â He taught everyone compassion, patience, and unconditional love.
Danielle Hughes Watzke, 27, completed a short but amazing life Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Portneuf Regional Medical Center after a motorcycle accident that occurred July 24, 2013 east of Carey. Danielle was born Sept. 10, 1985, in Pocatello, the daughter of Pat and Susan Hughes.
From the very beginning Danielle was determined to keep up or out-do her brothers, Brandon and Dustin, and live life to the fullest. Two years following her birth in Pocatello the family moved to Everett, Wash. and back to Blackfoot in 1995 to be near family.
Keith Lusk â€śCoach Willieâ€ť Williams, 89, formerly of Blackfoot, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at his home in Boise, surrounded by his family.Â
He was born July 6, 1924 in Malad, the son of Jenkin Vaughn Williams and Elizabeth Maria Lusk Williams.
Keith graduated from Malad High School in 1943 and received his associate's degree from Snow College.Â He attended Utah State University where he received his bachelorâ€™s degree in 1949 and in 1953 he received his masterâ€™s degree from the University of Idaho.
He served in the Air Force from 1943-1945 during World War II.Â
Mary Stanley Warren â€śGramâ€ť, 91, of Fort Hall passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
She was born July 19, 1922 in Carson City, Nev., the daughter of Opal Daisy Winnemucca and William Henry Stanley.Â She spent her childhood years in Burns, Ore. and Miller Creek, Nev.
In 1937, she married Raymond Warren in Nevada, then moved to Fort Hall and made it her permanent residence. Together they had five children.
Mary enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, hand games, card games and tanning hides.
Jan. 8, 1933 - July 21, 2013
John Edmond Pincock was born Jan. 8, 1933, to Howard Pincock and Lillie May Winmill in Sugar City. John was reunited with his son Ryan when he passed away peacefully at Pocatello Care and Rehab on July 21, 2013.
Darrel Ray Peterson passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday evening, the 21st of July, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrigâ€™s disease.Â He was born March 10, 1930 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Arthur W. and Arzula Blatter Peterson.Â His roots were in the farming community of New Sweden where he helped his father farm and where he developed his love for animals.Â He owned and operated Darrelâ€™s American for many years.Â He finished his career as a spud buyer for GPOD.Â
