Randall “Randy” Yancey, 45, of Pinole, Calif., passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2011, at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Richmond, California.
Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home and will be announced.

Nelda Bradley Francis, 87

PRESTON – Nelda Bradley Francis, 87, passed away May 10, 2011, in Preston. 
She was born March 10, 1924, in Preston to Orthello Carlyle and Maggie Bell Bradley. Nelda married William Joseph (Tony) Francis on March 31, 1944, in Ely, Nev. The marriage was then solemnized April 5, 1944, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was the mother of eight children, 32 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She said many times, “my husband and my family are the joy of my life.” 
Nelda and Tony worked in five temples and served a mission to the Mexico City Temple.

Reta Maxine Andrus, 75

Reta Maxine Andrus, 75, passed away on May 10, 2011 at her home in Blackfoot after an extended illness. 
She was born Oct. 13, 1935, to James Hyrum and Stella Killian Garrett at the family home in Lewisville.
Reta spent her youth in Lewisville. She married James Andrus in 1952; they later divorced. Most of her adult life has been spent in the Blackfoot area.
Reta worked many years at State Hospital South in the geriatric unit.  While president of the local chapter of Business & Professional Women in 1982, Reta was instrumental in starting the Bingham County Crisis Center.

Mildred I. Orton, 85

BEND, Ore. — Mildred I. Orton, 85, of Bend, Ore., passed away May 8, 2011, at her home.
She was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Blackfoot to Thomas and Elva Scott Miller. Mildred lived and attended school in the Lost River area, Pocatello, California, and completed her high school in Salt Lake City, Utah. She also attended Business School in Salt Lake City and Pocatello.

Penny Maye Gentillon, 35

REXBURG — Penny Maye Wheeler Blacker Gentillon, 35, of Pingree passed Monday, May 9, 2011, at the Madison Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Jan. 16, 1976, in Idaho Falls to Norman LaMar and Julia Diane Ricks Wheeler. Penny attended Hillview, Ammon Elementary and graduated from Hillcrest High School. She received her Medical Assistant’s Certificate from EITC in Idaho Falls.
On Nov. 28, 2008, she married Clinton Gentillon in Firth. They made their home in Pingree; she has resided in the Blackfoot area the past nine and a half years.

PRESTON — Nelda Bradley Francis, 87, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston. A full obituary will appear in a future edition of the paper. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston. 

Reta Maxine Andrus, 75

Reta Maxine Andrus, 75, passed away on May 10, 2011, at her home in Blackfoot after an extended illness. 
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2011, and for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at the Groveland Cemetery.

Kenneth Dixey, 80

POCATELLO — Kenneth “Woosie” Dixey, 80 of Blackfoot passed on May 9, 2011, at Portneuf Rehabilitation Center in Pocatello with his family next to him at his bedside after complication from sudden illness.  
Kenneth was born on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation Aug. 3, 1930, to Lawrence Dixey and Mae Pocatello. He was raised just outside of the Blackfoot city limits most of his life. He attended school  in Blackfoot up until the eighth grade.

Irma V. Tyre Taylor

Irma V. Tyre Taylor, has gone to be with her Maker. Irma was 84 years young. Her wonderful wit and great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
She was born April 5, 1927, in Boxley, Georgia, to Benjamin L. and Agnes Lona Thornton.
Irma loved the outdoors. Her interests were fishing, cooking, reading Louis L’Amour books and watching her family grow as the years passed. To be able to see her great-grandchildren was a gift she always cherished.

Kenneth “Woosie” Dixey, 80

Kenneth “Woosie” Dixey, 80, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, May 9, 2011, at Pocatello Care and Rehab Center.
Traditional visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the Kenneth Dixey residence off Highway 91 just south of Blackfoot. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling in Blackfoot. Traditional burial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011, in the Gibson Cemetery where final military rites will be presented by the Fort Hall and Blackfoot Veteran Honor Guard.
