Ethel Pierce Claunch, 80
Ethel Pierce Claunch, 80, of Idaho Falls, Idaho formerly of Aberdeen, Idaho passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 due to a fall at home.Â
Ethel was born February 18, 1933 in Aberdeen, Idaho to Angus Franklin Pierce and Cornelia Hiatt Pierce.Â She was raised in Aberdeen graduating from Aberdeen High School.Â
On June 15, 1950 Ethel married Harold Claunch in Aberdeen.Â They had five children, Dennis, Dallas, Sherry, Joleen and Patricia.

Little Cam as she was lovingly known, was given as a gift to this world on September 6, 1981 in Vernal, Utah. She was welcomed by her mother, Vickie Bell Helderman, two brothersâ€”Burke and Kolbyâ€”and her biological father, Charles E. Strickland. When she was 3 years old, she met her Daddy, Roy Helderman, who helped raise her and for whom she held a remarkable love. Roy also gave her another brother, Brandon J. Helderman, and a sister, Michelle Hagen.
Betty Smith Allen, 81
Betty Smith Allen, 81, of Blackfoot, formerly of Salmon, passed peacefully away on December 25, 2013 at her home.
Betty was born in Cedar City, Utah to George A. and LaVerd Smith on June 25, 1932.Â She attended high school in Cedar City until her junior year when her family moved to Salmon where she attended and graduated her senior year.
Bart Lee Archibald, 58
Bart Lee Archibald, 58, of Blackfoot, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Willows Assisted Living Center.
Bart was born September 20, 1955 to D. Boyd and Fauna Nielsen Archibald in American Falls.Â He attended school in Blackfoot graduating with honors from Blackfoot High School and received a scholarship to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Roberta â€śTobyâ€ť Smith, 99, of Blackfoot, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 at the Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.
Toby was born Jan. 16, 1914, Barborsville Kent., the daughter of Charles Emmett Cofer and Martha Jannette Smith Cofer. She entered grade school at Cambellsville, Kent.Â The family moved to Heyburn, Idaho where she attended public school, graduating from Burley High School in 1932.Â

Dee George Findlay, 83, of Sterling passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at his home.
Dee was born Sept. 10, 1930 in McDonaldville, Idaho to George Amus Findlay and Zelda Ilene Capson.Â He attended school in Snake River and Aberdeen.Â
On Sept. 10, 1955 Dee married Carol Wellard in Rexburg.Â They had five children, Tonya Dee, Kent, Cheryl Lee, Lea and Clea.
Sam Christiansen, 69â€”June 20, 1944, to Dec. 30, 2013
Sam Christiansen, 69, of St. Anthony passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sam was born June 20, 1944, to Chester and Cleo Barton Christiansen. He lived with his parents and older brother Gerry in Lovell, Wyo., where he graduated from high school in 1962.

Myrna Jean Keele, 74, of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, Dec, 16, 2013 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Myrna was born on July 1, 1939 in Idaho Falls to Darrell and Melva Goodson Fox.Â She is a lifetime resident of Southeast Idaho and attended school in Idaho Falls.
Â On June 2, 1962 she married Darryl Keele in Idaho Falls.Â Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 15, 1980.Â Darryl preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 2004.
Gilbert J. Barnard, 82, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend to all, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 in Blackfoot.
Gilbert was born July 31, 1931 in American Falls to William T. and Elizabeth Backman Barnard.
Gilbert served in the Army during the Korean War.Â He was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he met Carolyn Neeley.Â They were married Feb. 27, 1953 in Columbia, South Carolina and later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 15, 1953.
