Connie E. Peterson Birch, 64, passed away peacefully at home in Blackfoot.
She was born in Hastings, Neb. on October 24, 1949.
SheÂ married Jon C. Birch and then later divorced.
She worked as an executive secretary at EG&G and ExxonÂ until she became disabled in 1989 and was forced to retire. She enjoyed crafts and reading. Connie was also aÂ very talented artist.
She was preceded in death by herÂ parents, Earl and Alretta Peterson;Â her sister, Sandra Meredith; and her daughter, Loretta Lynne.Â
Robert Howard Young Jr., 60, of McCammon passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at his home after a valiant battle with cancer.
Robert was born March 25, 1953 in Murray, Utah to Robert Howard Young Sr. and Agnes â€śYvonneâ€ť Kirby.Â He attended grade school and junior high in Ogden, Utah and then to Illinois, attending two high schools north of Chicago.
He lived in Southern California, met his first wife and had children there.Â He lived in Utah, Idaho and the last 20 years in McCammon.
James (Jay) Dallas Stephens, Ph.D., professionally known as Doctor Stephens, a resident of Blackfoot since November 1976 passed away at home on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013.
Jay was the youngest of five siblings born to John W. Stephens and Ellen (Irene) Fogarty Stephens, at the hospital in Salmon City on Nov. 27, 1931. He grew up on the family ranch in the Goldburg, Idaho area of the upper (south-eastern) end of the Pahsimeroi River Valley along with his three living siblings. He graduated from the Goldburg Elementary School and then he graduated from Challis High School in 1949.
Elynn Matthews Kirkham, 88, of Blackfoot passed away on Jan. 2, 2014 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.Â
Elynn was born March 23, 1925, in Green Timber, Idaho, the daughter of Hazel and Byron Matthews.
Elynn grew up in Ashton and graduated from Ashton High School in 1943. She moved to Utah where she worked and attended Brigham Young University.Â
Bryan William Jacobson, 41, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home.
Bryan was born November 20, 1972 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Claude William Jacobson Jr. and Violet Elayne Shaw.Â He was raised in the Blackfoot area and attended school in Blackfoot and Snake River.
On November 1, 1991 Bryan married Marti Paterson in Blackfoot.Â They had two children, Dakota James and Dusti Lynn.Â They were later divorced.Â He lived the last four years in Blackfoot with Sandy Davis.
Merlene Allen Heileson, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013.
She was born to the late Clinton and Merle Allen on Sept. 30, 1941 in Blackfoot. Merlene graduated from University of Idaho in 1963 with a degree in Home Economics and Music and later received a Master of Elementary Education from Brigham Young University.
Helen Lenore Webb McBride Morgan, 89
Helen Lenore Webb McBride Morgan left this life to continue her life in Heaven on 19 Dec. 2013 at her home in Pingree.Â Helen was 89 years old, just four months shy of 90 years.
She was born in Shelley on 10 April 1924 to William Alma and Coral Dean Kelsey Webb to join with siblings Doris (Brown) and Duane, later Dona (Hall), Max and Shirley (Winward) were born into the family.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Cherise Elison Alvey, 54
Cherise Elison Alvey, 54, of Firth, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She had been in the care of Avalon Hospice, and her mother after battling cancer for the third time in 13 years.
She was born in Pocatello, Idaho on June 8, 1959 to Gary Croft Elison and Sharon Bullock. She would become the oldest of ten children.
Ethel Pierce Claunch, 80
Ethel Pierce Claunch, 80, of Idaho Falls, Idaho formerly of Aberdeen, Idaho passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 due to a fall at home.Â
Ethel was born February 18, 1933 in Aberdeen, Idaho to Angus Franklin Pierce and Cornelia Hiatt Pierce.Â She was raised in Aberdeen graduating from Aberdeen High School.Â
On June 15, 1950 Ethel married Harold Claunch in Aberdeen.Â They had five children, Dennis, Dallas, Sherry, Joleen and Patricia.
Cameron Myree Helderman-Diaz
Little Cam as she was lovingly known, was given as a gift to this world on September 6, 1981 in Vernal, Utah. She was welcomed by her mother, Vickie Bell Helderman, two brothersâ€”Burke and Kolbyâ€”and her biological father, Charles E. Strickland. When she was 3 years old, she met her Daddy, Roy Helderman, who helped raise her and for whom she held a remarkable love. Roy also gave her another brother, Brandon J. Helderman, and a sister, Michelle Hagen.
