June Talbot Williams, 85

June 1, 2011

ARCO — June Talbot Williams, 85, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, in Idaho Falls.
She was born June 2, 1925, in St. John, Idaho to Andrew Melvin and Miriam Monson Talbot. June was raised and received her elementary education in St. John. In 1943 she graduated from Malad High School. She spent the next several years working for the soil conservation offices in Malad and Pocatello.

Dora Darthella Leavitt, 80

Dora Darthella Leavitt, 80, of Firth passed away May 25, 2011, at the Gables in Shelley under hospice care.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday June 2, 2011, at the Firth Ward Chapel (744 North 600 East). The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street in Shelley, and Thursday from 9:30- 10:40 a.m. at the church. Marguerite Y. King, 95, of Firth passed away May 23, 2011, at her home under hospice care.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 31, 2011, at the Firth Ward Chapel (744 North 600 East).
The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street in Shelley, and Tuesday from 9:30-l10:40 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Firth Cemetery.

Lori Elizabeth Hammond, 55, of Blackfoot returned to her Father in Heaven on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello surrounded by her family, after a long fight with her health challenges. 
She was born Sept. 14, 1955, in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, to Dale LaRoy Still and Agnes Marie Bourne Still, the eldest of four children and many foster brothers and sisters.

Lori Hammond, 55, of Blackfoot passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello. 
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011, at the Thomas LDS Church. Family will meet with friends and relatives from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church.

Charley Gyder, 77

SUN CITY, Ariz. — Charley Gyder of Sun City was born April 6, 1934, in Franklin, Penn., to Ruth and Charles Gyder and was the youngest of three children.
Charley attended Penn State University in 1952 with the ROTC Program and graduated in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

Lila Lemmon Baldwin, 96

Lila Lemmon Baldwin, 96, of Rockford passed away May 22, 2011. at her home.
She was born Feb. 21, 1915, in Garfield, Idaho, the youngest daughter of Washington Lemmon and Ida Ethel Hamilton.
Her early childhood was spent in Marysville, near Ashton. In 1928, her father bought a large farm in Tyhee. She graduated from LDS Seminary and from Pocatello High School in 1933.

Elna E. Hunter, 89, of Blackfoot, passed away May 20, 2011, at her home with her family around her.
She was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Blackfoot, the daughter of Fredrich and Ida Linkiet Wieland.
Elna was raised in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School.
She married Benjamin Hunter on April 5, 1945, in Seattle, Wash.
They moved to Blackfoot and have resided here since.
Elna worked as a clerk and Dan’s Mighty Market for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, growing her flowers, embroidery and needlepoint.

Vonda Clarice Longmore Fisher, 79

Vonda Clarice Longmore Fisher, 79, of Blackfoot, passed away May 19, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Blackfoot on Jan. 31, 1932, to Lester G. and Estella May Anderson Longmore. She was the second of eight children. When Vonda was seven years old, she moved with her family to Salt Lake City, Utah. After living there for three years, they returned to Blackfoot where she attended school and graduated from Blackfoot High School.
