Aireanne Moore, 27, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at Portneuf Medical Center.Â
Aireanne was born Feb. 6, 1986 in Blackfoot to John Aaron Moore and Princess Lynette Robinson.Â She was raised in Basalt and Blackfoot. She participated in 4-H and had won some ribbons.
On October of 2007 Aireanne married T.C. Sorensen in Blackfoot.Â They had three children, Seth, Quincy and Perseus.Â They were later divorced.
Our mother, Eva Lair Wray, quietly slipped away in the early hours of Tuesday morning on Dec. 10, 2013 at the age of 101.
She was born Eva May Lair in the town of Lompoc, Calif. on Sept. 17, 1912.Â She was the second oldest child of Edgar and Mabel Hodges Lair.Â Eva was raised with five siblings; two sisters, Edna Barr and Lena â€śBabeâ€ť Short and three brothers, Clarence, Walter and Don.
Mother was a precious child who enjoyed all forms of activities, particularly dancing.Â She graduated from Lompoc High School in 1929.Â
Marjorie passed away peacefully on Nov. 17, 2013 in Austin, Texas.Â
She was born on Nov. 15, 1919 to Joseph C. Osguthorpe and Mary Mable Smart Osguthorpe in Salt Lake City, Utah.Â She married her lifelong friend Otto H. Tschanz Jr., on Oct. 24, 1941 in Blackfoot.
She was preceded in death by her husband Otto, her parents and two sisters.Â
She is survived by her sister Bonita Painter; sons, Otto H. (Skip) Tschanz III, Roger K. Tschanz, Larry C. Tschanz and daughter Pamela Michelle Flanders.
Vicki Bullock Williams, 61, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Vicki was born May 13, 1952 in Pocatello to Leo Everett Bullock and Helen Mar Romriell.Â Vicki graduated from Marsh Valley High School.Â She has lived the past 30+ years in Blackfoot.Â
On March 23, 1984, Vicki married Lynden Williams in Pocatello.Â
Leathie Valarie Dixey, 65, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 atÂ Quinn Meadows in Pocatello.
She was born Nov.29, 1948 in Pocatello to Ralph Frances Dixey, Sr. and Virgie Gibson Dixey.
She attended school in Blackfoot and has lived her entire life in the area.
She married Marvin Lee Tissidmit in August 1965.Â He preceded her in death on June 12, 2008.
Leathie taught school at Sho-Ban school and drove school bus as well.Â She was bilingual and taught the Shoshone language. She worked as a teacher's aide for Blackfoot School District for several years.
Irene O. Hammond blessed her family with her example of love and faith.Â She passed away peacefully at her home on her birthday, December 4, 2013, at the age of 93.
She was born Melva Irene Ogborn December 4, 1920, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Charles L. and Montana Boice Ogborn.Â Irene grew up in Blackfoot during the depression, the youngest of four children, and attended Blackfoot schools through her junior year.Â She moved with her parents to Omak, Washington, in 1937, where she graduated from high school.
JoAnn Williams, 80, ofÂ Moreland passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 from a long term illness.
JoAnn was born Dec. 25, 1932 in Montpelier to James Rasmussen and Mary Emma Barkdull Rasmussen.Â She lived her early life in Pocatello and later moved to Moreland.Â She attended Pocatello High School.
On Oct. 31, 1951 JoAnn married Blake Williams in Winnemucca, Nev.Â They had three sons, Steve, Brent and Rick.
JoAnn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed visiting teaching.Â
Greg â€śSlimâ€ť Smith, 63, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Slim came into this world on Aug. 2, 1950, born to Grant G. Smith and Charlotte Britt Smith.Â He was born in Helena, Montana and spent his early childhood years in Helena and Bozeman, Montana before his mom and step-dad located to Blackfoot in 1963.Â Slim quickly made Blackfoot his own, making friends along the way.Â He graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1968 and has lived in Blackfoot since then.
CDR Ronald Stoddart, 82, died Nov. 23, 2013 after a brief struggle with leukemia.
Ron was born on Sept. 29, 1931, in Idaho Falls, the first child of Lewis James and Verda Mae Judd Stoddart.
When he was a young boy the family moved to Blackfoot where Ron attended school through graduation.
He joined the U.S. Navy in August 1950, and followed his dream to become a naval aviator.
He married his beloved wife, Jean Marie Harvey, on Dec. 18, 1965.
Grace Smith Lilya, 90, of Groveland/Rose, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at her home.
She was born July 9, 1923 in Riverside, the daughter of Don Cleveland Smith and Alice Velma Ogden.
On July 9, 1943 she married Claude Everett Lilya in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2011.
