Moran âMoriâ Leon Hiatt was born on June 30, 1922, to Marrion Lillian Hales and Wilford Zachary Hiatt. Being the next to youngest he had five brothers and two sisters to contend with as he grew up in the Blackfoot area. His family had a small farm just south of Blackfoot.
Kristen Joy Foster Brooks was born in Blackfoot on Sept. 12, 1947, to Cluff and Barbara Johnson. She spent much of her childhood in Great Falls, Mont. Later she attended BYU where she received a bachelorâs degree in Business in 1970.
In 1969 she married Robert âClydeâ Foster in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Clyde was a member of the U.S. Army, so Kristen spent many years traveling around the country and lived for several years in Germany. During these years, Kristen and Clyde were blessed with two daughters and six sons, who each brought much joy and adventure to Kristenâs life.
Rex Lynn Anderson, 82, of Ammon, passed away Dec. 31, 2010, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.
Lynn was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Idaho Falls to Rex Milo Anderson and Annie Rebecca Peterson Anderson. He graduated from Aberdeen High School.
He married Theone Pappas on Nov. 24, 1961, in Elko, Nev. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Nov. 24, 1973. They lived in Pingree for 29 years, then moved to Shelley in 1997. Lynn worked for Bingham County Road and Bridge. In 2005, the couple moved to Ammon.
Clara Harman Scott, 87, a former Firth resident, who had been living at her daughterâs home in Pocatello for the past 10 years, passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2010.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1923, at Thomas to Raymond Mathias and Martha Drucilla Williams Harman. Clara attended schools in Wilson and Pingree, graduated from the eighth grade in Rockford and also from Thomas High School.
She married Eldon Scott on Sept. 20, 1942, in Pingree. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Nov. 23, 1942.

JoAnn Samuelson, 76, of Blackfoot passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at her home.
She was born Sept. 6, 1934, in Idaho Falls to Leora Scouten. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1952.
JoAnn married Merlin Floyd Samuelson in Blackfoot in August of 1953.Â They were later divorced.
JoAnn was a secretary for the Blackfoot School District and worked for Nonpareil and King B.
She enjoyed playing pool, crocheting, sewing, quilting and crossword puzzles.Â Â Â Â Â Â
Vera Clark Oram was born October 5, 1920 to George H. and Louise Parker Clark in Blackfoot, Idaho.Â She was delivered at home by her Grandmother Clark.Â Her grandmother had also delivered her five sisters and one brother before her, and the two more sisters that were to come later.Â When she was four years old the family moved to the last house on West Center Street and that is where she and her brother and eight sisters grew up.
Vera Oram, 90, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home.
Michael Lyle Lish, 55, of Blackfoot passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Military rites will be provided by the American Legion Stewart Hoover Post #23. Marvin Earl Christiansen, 76, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
He was born Dec. 11, 1934 in Blackfoot, the son of William Earl Christiansen and Orissa M. Hansen.
Marvin graduated from Snake River High School.
He was a member of the National Guard.
On February 1, 1969, he married Judy Deon Winterbottom in Blackfoot. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 2, 2006.
Jack Schild, 76, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at The Gables Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls. He was born Dec. 27, 1933, in Pocatello, to Henry Schild and Ruth Lanham Jefferies. Jack attended school at Tyhee Elementary and Irving Jr. High in Pocatello.
On Dec. 31, 1956, he married Wilma Doris Dear in Elko, Nev. Doris passed away in 1973, and in 1976 Jack married Renae Richardson in Blackfoot. Renae helped him finish raising his five children.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
