Kenneth Jay Gray, 50, of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at the Life Care Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born Nov. 13, 1963Â in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jay R. and Karol KnightÂ Gray.Â Kenneth attended Oakley Elementary School in Heyburn and then attended Green River High School in Green River, Wyo.
He enjoyed movies, hard rock music, especially KISS.
Kenneth is survived by his parents Jay and Karol Gray of Blackfoot; one sister, Lisa (Richard) Marsing of Green River, Wyo.; niece, Brooke (Alek) Anderson and nephews, Ashton and Alek, of Rock Springs, Wyo.
Opal Justus, 94, of Blackfoot passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 at The Gardens in Rigby.
She was born Sept. 12, 1919 in Sutton, Neb., to Lloid and Ida Pauline Trieber Corey. She moved to Blackfoot when she was just 2 months old, and lived her entire life in the area.Â
Opal attended school in Blackfoot and graduated in 1937, the first class of Blackfoot High School, which was then located on Shilling Street and currently serves as the Sixth Grade Center.Â
Michael Rivers passed away at the age of 50 at his home near Emeryville (Oakland), Calif. on Dec. 25, 2013.
Michael was born on Feb. 10, 1963 in Blackfoot to Robert and Eleanor Rivers. Michael grew up and attended Stalker Elementary School, Blackfoot Junior High and graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1981. Michael attended and graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor of arts in Journalism.
Maria C. Martinez, 74, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho.
She was born July 3, 1939 in Sanisidro, Coahulia, Mexico, the daughter of Florence Correa and Eduvijen Gonzales.
In 1954 she left Mexico and came to the US and ended up in Idaho in 1957 where she has resided since.
She attended 5th grade in San Isidrio, Coahulia, Mexico.
She married Marcelino Martinez.Â They latter divorced and in 1968 she married Luis Madrigal and they also were later divorced in 1971.
Fred William Elkington, 91, of Idaho Falls passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 in Orem, Utah.
He was born Jan. 28, 1922 in Tooele, Utah, to William Henry Elkington and Elize McClaws Elkington. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Idaho Falls High School.
Fred joined the Army and served during World War II. He was a cattle and sheep rancher, working with his father and sons around the area. He worked as a security officer at Idaho First National Bank, as a heavy equipment operator for Bonneville County, and worked in his later years as a delivery driver for the Rose Shop.
Steven Lynn Johnson, 50, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Jan. 27, 2014, in Shelley.
Â He was born Jan. 20, 1964, in Ann Arbor, Mich. to Grover Vaughn Johnson and Sandra Lee Foster Johnson.Â He was raised in Omaha, Neb. where he attended schools and graduated from Burke High School.Â He continued his education at Brigham Young University where he received his bachelorâ€™s degree and then Colorado State University where he received his masterâ€™s degree in Business Finance.
On Dec. 15, 1986, he married Kim Marie Jolley in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.Â They were married until 2010.Â
Moonyeen Coffey, 77, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at her home.Â
Private family services will be held at a later date.Â
The family would like to thank Alliance Home and Hospice, Bishop Mike Horrocks and the Blackfoot 11th Ward for all their loving care of Moonyeen.Â Arrangements have been under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot.Â

Juanita Virginia Howard, 88, of Blackfoot, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital.Â
She was born Aug. 25, 1925 in Roanoke, Virginia to Elijah S. and Sadie Florence Potter Hostetter.Â She was raised and received her education in Roanoke.
She met LeRoy Elson Howard while they were both serving missions in California.Â After completion of their missions they were married on July 25, 1948, in Roanoke, Virginia.Â Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Aug.4, 1948.
Mary O. Smith, 92, formerly of Blackfoot, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at the Hiland Assisted Living Center in Burley.
Mary was born on Aug. 25, 1921 at Artiesan City, Twin Falls County, to Charles W. Zulkey and Fannie Towery Zulkey.
Mary was a former resident of Blackfoot where she was employed at State Hospital South and Nonpareil Potato Company. She resided in Blackfoot for over 36 years, making her home in the Parkside Manufactured Mobile Home Community.
Jovita R. Torres, 82, of Firth passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at her home. Â
Jovita was born Nov. 17, 1931 in Crystal City, Texas to Juan and Antonia Rodriguez.Â She grew up in Texas with her three sisters, Marcela, BerthaÂ and Olga.
In 1950 she met the love of her life, Moises Torres, and would bless him with nine children.Â Together they traveled around from state to state, working and raising their children, finally making Firth their family home in 1957.
