Bonnie Gail Maxie Price, 63, passed away peacefully early Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in Arco Idaho after valiantly enduring a 7yr battle with cancer.¬† Bonnie was born in Bismarck, North Dakota December 22, 1949 to James E. and Cora Nordby Maxie.¬† Bonnie‚Äôs family relocated to Malta, Montana where she received her elementary and secondary education.¬† Bonnie graduated from Montana State University in 1971 at the age of 21 with credentials as a Registered Nurse specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.¬† Bonnie married Eddie L.
Shirley Kaye Stoddard Parker of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away September 27th, 2013 at 93 years of age.¬†¬†¬† She was the oldest daughter of Phyllis Jane Oldham and LeRoy Glen Stoddard and had survived her siblings Lila, Gordon, Keith and Cork.
Barbara Hazel (Burnham) Babneau Herland, 88, of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot after a short stay in the Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a heart attack in early August.¬† Her health had been declining due to renal failure the last few years, but remained living independently until this time.
Edwin Eugene Kearsley, 66, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Mini Cassia Care Center in Burley, Idaho.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† He was born August 4, 1947 in Driggs, Idaho the third child and second son of Irvin Horace and Freda Wilde Kearsley.
¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† Edwin attended school in Victor, Idaho, Providence, Utah and Blackfoot, Idaho.¬† He graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1967. He attended BYU-Provo, Utah and Idaho Trade and Tech in Twin Falls, Idaho.¬† He graduated from Idaho State University in 1995.
Lydia ‚ÄúToots‚ÄĚ Edline Chaffin, 98, passed away Sept. 24, 2013.
Mom was born to Julius (Gustav) Edward Bergeman and Emma Kastning Bergeman in Fairmont, Minn., on April 2, 1915, the sixth child of 11 children.¬† Her parents and the children moved numerous times to various towns in Utah before moving to Blackfoot, in 1932, sometimes living in a tent. She attended school until the 8th grade.¬†
Robert Verland ‚ÄúBob‚ÄĚ Haddon, 61, of Blackfoot passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness.
Bob was born Jan. 14, 1952 to Charles Vernon Haddon and Cora Bell Wagner-Haddon.¬† He was the second child of what grew to be 7.
Steven Brent Cronquist, 58, of Pingree passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family following a lingering illness.¬†
Steven was born on Feb. 4, 1955 in Logan, Utah to Carl and VaLoye Balls Cronquist, Jr.¬† He was raised in the Blackfoot area and attended Snake River schools, graduating from Snake River High School. He married Diane Schobe and together they had two sons, Jimmy and John.¬† They were later divorced.¬† Later in life he found companionship with Debbie Thomas and they remained together until her passing on Nov. 9, 2012.
Jerald J ‚ÄúBo‚ÄĚ Bowman, 75, of Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at his home after a year long battle with cancer.
Jerald was born March 10, 1938, in Blackfoot to Jack M Bowman and Mable P. Leavitt.¬† He lived his lifetime in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1956. He attending Idaho State University for two years where he studied accounting and business.
Jerald married his high school sweetheart Eva Mae Grimmett on June 20, 1958. They have two children, Pam and Kip.¬†
Jesse J. Whiting, 90, of Blackfoot passed away Sept. 16, 2013, at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot with his family by his side.
Jesse was born June 20, 1923, in Leslie, Idaho, to Lucius Burr and Pearl Johnson Whiting.¬†He was raised in the Groveland and Wapello areas and was a member of the first graduating class of Thomas High School.
Jesse was in the U. S. Navy from 1943 through 1946 serving on a PT boat in the Mediterranean including France, Italy and Northern Africa.
On Nov. 9, 1949, Jesse married Erma Jorgensen in Blackfoot.¬† They had two children, Lucinda and LeeDel.
Leland ‚ÄúLee‚ÄĚ Date passed away on Sept. 12, 2013 in Idaho Falls.¬†
He was born Sept. 28, 1928 in Ucon to Tsunijiro ‚ÄúJoe‚ÄĚ and Haruko (Harada) Date.
¬†Lee attended grade school in Shelley and high school in Lewisville.¬† He lived the majority of his life in Firth, where he farmed.¬† He also worked in the construction industry and retired from the Monroc Concrete Company in 1990.¬†
Lee attended Bethel Lutheran Church of Firth and was a member of the Japanese American Citizens League.¬† He was a United States Army veteran, serving the majority of his time in Monterey, Calif.¬†¬†¬†
