Craig 'Oscar' Ogden, 55
Craig âOscarâ Ogden left this life suddenly on Monday, October 20, 2014. He was a loving son, brother, father, coach and friend.
Doreene Kay Harris passed away October 25, 2014 at home with her loved ones by her side. Her last few days were spent with the strength and determination to keep fighting to make it to see her daughters birthday on the 25th of October.Â
She was born September 21, 1957 in Pocatello, Idaho to Geraldine âJerryâ Cutler and Gerry Hendricks. She was the third of six children born to this union. She attended schools in Pocatello, Blackfoot, and Cheyenne Wyoming where she graduated from East High in 1976.Â
Arland J âBuckâ Buxton, 87, of Rexburg and formerly of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, in Rexburg, Idaho.
He was born June 14, 1927, at Driggs, Idaho, to John and Susie Geneva Henrie Buxton.
Arland was raised and attended school in Driggs, graduating from Teton High School.Â Following graduation he attended Utah State University, where he earned a bachelorâs degree in Agronomy and participated in the R.O.T.C. program. Â
Buck served in United States Marines during World War II, in the Pacific Theater.
Bert LeRoy Chaffin, 88 of St. Helens, Oregon, passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 in Idaho Falls, Idaho at Pine Brook Assisted living center.
Bert was born May 9, 1926 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Alma Leroy and Margaret Emmeline Wilson Chaffin.
He was raised in the Rose area during his childhood except from 1931-1933 when they lived in Jackson, Wyo. on a ranch where his father was a farmer on one of Pete Hansenâs ranches.
Roy Gene Seaman. 75
Roy Gene Seaman passed away unexpectedly in St. Lukeâs Medical Center, Meridian, Idaho, on Oct. 14, 2014 at the age of 75.
Roy is survived by his wife, Donna Cox-Seaman; daughter, Tracy Bruce of Blackfoot, Idaho; sons, Terry Seaman of Victor, Idaho; Trent Seaman of Sheridan, Wyo.; brother, Karl Seaman of Taylorsville, Utah and sister, Shirley Gummow of Camp Verde, Ariz. Roy was blessed with 10 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
Dezzie Eva Underwood, 88, of Blackfoot passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014 at the Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehab.Â
She was born Nov. 8, 1925 in Blackfoot to Sidney L. and Eva Priest Shoell. Â
She was raised and attended school in Blackfoot.Â Dezzie has lived in Blackfoot and Pingree.
On Nov. 24, 1950 she married Earnest Underwood at Salt Lake City, Utah.
Earnest preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1994.
Dezzie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She worked for First American Title company as a title officer for 44 years.
Tanda Kay Pratt, 60, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014, near Baker City, Oregon, from injuries sustained in a wildlife-caused traffic accident. Â
Tanda was born on May 15, 1954, in Boise, Idaho, to David and Wilma Ogle.Â She was the oldest of four children and the first grandchild on both the Ogle and Waite sides of the family.Â Her two sisters and brother always looked up to her as their strong, brave big sister who inspired them and looked out for them.
Julia Ann Bithell Sconiers Winn, 81
Lorenzo Alejandro Martinez, 84, of Blackfoot, Idaho, was called home on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and his sweetheart of 58 years, Lucy Belle.
Lorenzo was born Aug. 10, 1930 in Laredo, Texas, the youngest child of Juan Martinez and Catarina Soto.Â Lorenzoâs childhood was spent attending school in Laredo, Texas. Â
In later years Lorenzo served in the United Sates Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954.
Helen Merkley Madsen, 87,Â left our world to be with Dad, the love of her life, on September 23, 2014. Â
Born on February 1, 1927 to Chauncey and Rosella Merkley in Blackfoot, Idaho, she was the youngest of four children.Â She grew up on the family farm northeast of Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School.Â After graduation, she took a job with the Bingham County Extension Agent. Â
