Broncos buck the Hawks 35-20

November 13, 2010

POCATELLO — A pair of 4A heavyweights stood toe-to-toe on Friday night inside the comfy confines of ISU's Holt Arena.
At the end of the highly anticipated match up, the defending 4A state champion Blackfoot Broncos emerged triumphant with a comfortable 35-20 victory over the Skyview Hawks.
"Looking into the season and at our area I'm thinking heck, we're as good as anybody," Blackfoot head coach Stan Buck said. "We have some potential kids that can make plays so why not us. It was just a matter of how we developed and gelled and now we're there and we are excited and happy about it."

Panthers take a bite out of Bulldogs

November 13, 2010

POCATELLO - The Snake River Panthers rode the strength of their defense as they downed the visiting Kimberly Bulldogs in the semi finals of the A3 state tournament by a score of 26-0.
So dominating was the defense that they held Kimberly to negative yardage in the first half and without a first down until 10:12 of the third quarter.
“I have to give all the credit for the great defense tonight to the kids and the defensive coaches,” said Coach Jeff Dalley. “Coaches Rich Dunn, Jeff Toulouse and Brian McInelly came up with a great game plan and the kids executed it perfectly.”
