Russets Sting Bees Late

SHELLEY — For those in the stands at Shelley High School on Friday night to see the Russets take on the visiting Bees of Bonneville, you were treated to one of the best games of the year as Shelley scored late to complete a comeback from 12 points down and nip Bonneville 41 – 40.

AMMON — Blackfoot overcame a slow start and used a strong second half to down Hillcrest, 38-22 at
Thunder Stadium Friday night. The Broncos celebrated with their District Six championship trophy that was presented to the team after the game.
At the start of the game, after Hillcrest attempted an on-side kick, Blackfoot recovered the ball on its own 43-yard line.
Then with 9:43 on the clock quarterback Trae Pilster threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to Colby Pearson. Pearson then ran the ball for a two-point conversion.

THOMAS — Snake River coach Jeff Dalley didn't know what to make of the Panthers' 70-7 beat-down of American Falls in South East Idaho Conference football action on Friday.
"I never would have expected it," Dalley said. "I really thought it would be a slugfest."
