Lady Broncos sweep Rigby

May 3, 2011

BLACKFOOT — In a remake of last Fridays weather cancelation, the Blackfoot Lady Broncos hosted Rigby for what could prove to be a very important conference double header.
Blackfoot found themselves trailing in both ball games on Monday before rallying for a pair of wins 13-12 in game one and 4-3 in game two.
"These girls just respond and work well under pressure," Blackfoot head coach Brenda Whitworth said. "They do a great job of coming from behind and they did it again today. They just never say die."

BLACKFOOT — Blackfoot sent their seniors out in style on Monday night as they took to the home diamond for the final time as they tangled with Bingham County rival Shelley.
After a moving ceremony the Broncos took to the field looking for a season sweep of the Russets, handing the ball to senior Sam Cannon on the hill.
Shelley came out swinging against Cannon, scoring a pair of runs in the top of the first inning as Sam Graham led off with a double. Kade Longhurst plated Graham with a single and later scored courtesy of a Tyler Kidman sacrifice for the quick 2-0 lead.
