July 29th
BLACKFOOT — With spurs jingling and the flash of a shiny new belt buckle, Blackfoot cowboy Colby Giannini retells his exploits at the recently completed National Finals High School Rodeo in Gillette, Wyoming where the soon to be senior captured third place in the cow cutting event.
"It was a really good time," Giannini said. "I had my buddies there, Stetson Jorgenson also qualified for Nationals so I was able to hang out all week. This was definitely the high light of my summer."
July 9th
BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot Broncos faced off with a talented Burley Green Sox squad on Friday afternoon and at the end of the day the Broncos emerged with a split for their efforts but dropping game one 12-5 and then rebounding for a solid 7-6 win in the nightcap.
"Burley is a good team, they are undefeated in their district so to get a split with them is pretty good," Blackfoot head coach Jeff Katseanes said.
In the first game Blackfoot succumbed to some shaky defense in the field as the Green Sox took advantage of five Bronco errors.
July 7th
IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls starting pitcher Robert Penny showed that he's not afraid of no Ghosts as the North Carolina native turned in his best performance of the young season, working seven innings of three hit baseball, to help lift the Chukars to their third straight victory with an 8-4 win over Casper on Wednesday evening.

BLACKFOOT- In the bottom of the fourth inning of game one with the Twin Falls Cowboys, the bases were loaded and Blackfoot’s Cole Mansanerez stepped up to the plate and hit a towering grand slam over the left field fence to pull the Broncos to within 8-7.
“I was practicing in the cage before the game and it felt good so I knew that today was going to be a good day,” Mansanarez said.
