BLACKFOOT â€” The Blackfoot Lady Broncos were hoping for a comeback after the first time they faced off against the Madison Bobcats. Although they did not swipe the win, they closed the gap from that first outing but still came up just short in the 55-45 defeat.
â€śIt is a bit frustrating. We had them for three quarters, but we have not learned to finish the game,â€ť Blackfoot head coach Merle Smith said.
FIRTH â€” County foes collided at Firth High School on Tuesday night as the Aberdeen Tigers traveled to Firth to do battle with the Cougars.
The game certainly wasn't the sharpest of contests from either squads standpoint and in the end, it was the home standing Cougars who prevailed, earning the season sweep of the Tigers with a 61-44 victory.
THOMAS â€” Desmond Miles scored five points in the final 64 seconds of overtime to lift Sugar-Salem to a 48-44 non-conference boys' basketball victory over Snake River on Tuesday.
Miles' 3-point basket with 1:04 remaining in the extra session gave Sugar-Salem (9-5) a 43-42 lead. His two free throws with 3.3 seconds left sealed the deal.
Sugar-Salem dominated the first half, building a 24-11 lead on Zach Jeppson's trey with 4:46 left in the second quarter. The Diggers led 26-14 at halftime.
SHELLEY â€” What started out as a tight contest quickly turned south in a hurry for the Shelley Lady Russets on Tuesday night as the visiting Bees turned in a big 23 point second quarter, en route to a 61-45 High Country Conference win at Shelley.
