BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot Broncos opened their conference slate on Wednesday afternoon as they welcomed the Bonneville Bees to town for the first game in the home and home series.
A disappointing top of the second inning as the Bronco defense made an uncharacteristic 4 errors in the frame led to 7 Bonneville runs and as it turned out, the first run was all the Bees needed as they left Blackfoot with an 8-0 victory.
BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot Bronco tennis squad turned in a dominating performance on Wednesday afternoon as they dispatched with a Rigby Trojan squad by the final combined score of 11-1 between the boys and girls squads.
"This was a nice, decisive win today which shows just how hard we've been working," Blackfoot head coach Brint Jeffris said. "I think that this was one of those matches which gives us a brief picture of how districts should look like."
RIVERSIDE — The game was much more winnable than the final 13-5 score indicated on Tuesday evening as the Snake River Lady Panthers dropped their first game of the season in the eight run, extra inning defeat at the hands of a tough Teton squad.
"We should have won this game," Snake River head coach Kay Martin said. "We get ahead in the sixth inning and then just didn't make the plays that we needed to make to get the job done. When the pressure was on, we just didn't make the plays when we needed them."
