POCATELLO — The Fourth District rodeo season opened over the weekend with a pair of rodeos at the Bannock County Fairground indoor arena and during Saturday's competition a freshman from Firth highlighted the festivities as Rylie Clemens took home the top honors in two separate events to open his high school career.
Clemens opened his day with a 40 point winning ride in the bareback event before following that up with a win in the tie down roping with a time of 14.28.
BLACKFOOT — Blackfoot had a season sweep well within their grasp on Friday afternoon as they built a 5-1 lead over the first three innings of play.
Unfortunately the grip was tenuous as Hillcrest rallied for 7 unanswered runs to salvage the season split with an 8-5 win.
