RIVERSIDE — Snake River got 9 stellar innings of pitching from Erica Ramirez and a towering home run off the bat of Macy Martin as the Lady Panthers picked up a huge 4-3 conference win against Bear Lake on Wednesday evening.
"It was a good win," Snake River head coach Kay Martin said. "We made a couple of base running errors or we may have been able to win this game in seven innings but I couldn't be happier with the way the girls battled and got the win."
THOMAS — Shane Parkinson tossed five innings of 1 hit shutout baseball while the Panther offense erupted for 10 runs over four innings as the Snake River Panthers remained unbeaten in conference play with a convincing 10-0 victory over Bear Lake on Wednesday evening.
"Shane threw a good ball game and the kids just came out swinging the bats today," Snake River head coach James Carter said. "I'm happy with the win."
BLACKFOOT — Down to their last strike, the Blackfoot Lady Broncos got a big swing from Jessica Capson as she swatted a two out, three run homer over the left field fence for a walk off 5-3 win over Skyline in game one of their double header on Tuesday evening at Blackfoot High School.
"I was nervous," Capson said. "I have two strikes with runners at second and third and all I could think was now I have to swing at everything. Fortunately she put one where I could hit it and it felt great. I was pretty excited."
