POCATELLO â€“ The Century Diamondbacks had the defending 4A state champion Broncos on the ropes, up 14-13 with the ball on the Bronco 26-yard line. All of that changed in a heartbeat however as Blackfootâ€™s Brock Baguley intercepted a Shane Rominger pass in the endzone and then returned it to the 18-yard line.
That spark eventually carried the Broncos to a 34-14 victory.
â€śThat was a great play by Brock just an outstanding job,â€ť Blackfoot head coach Stan Buck said.
Eleven plays and 82 yards later the Broncos took the lead for good with a Mitch Martin 2-yard touchdown plunge a two point conversion and a 21-14 Bronco lead. On the drive Blackfoot rushed the ball on every play as the offensive line created gaping holes in the Century defensive front.
