THOMAS â€” Quarterback Kade Keller scored on a pair of 7-yard runs and Brad Coombs had a 1-yard plunge as Snake River defeated Star Valley, Wyo., 22-19 in non-conference football on Friday.
Keller's second score came with 11:31 left in the fourth quarter. The Panther defense, led by Coombs, held off the Braves fourth times thereafter.
"Star Valley has had our number the last couple of years," said Panther coach Jeff Dalley. "Early on tonight we got some turnovers and had some momentum."
The Panther win broke a three-game win streak for the Braves in the series.
SHELLEY - Coming off of a undefeated season capped with a State Championship the Russets hosted the 4A Jerome Tigers in their first home game of the season.
After a slow start the Russets scored twenty one in the second half to cruise to a solid 28-7 victory.
