IDAHO FALLS — The 2013 Idaho Falls Chukars are celebrating the 75th year of professional baseball in Idaho Falls, the bream is also looking to make it's first legitimate run at a Pioneer League title since the 2008 season.
With the a little help from the parent club, the Kansas City Royals, some big name prospects will be spending at least part of the summer in Idaho Falls.
June 18th
POCATELLO — If there was a phrase that describes the 2013 season for the Idaho State University softball team it would have to be record breaking.
The Bengals rewrote the softball record books during the season and stamped their mark in Big Sky Conference history.
June 17th
BLACKFOOT — One thing can be said about the American Legion baseball season, it's a grind.
Teams pack 40-plus games into a two month window and a lot of things can happen and usually do.
Coming into Monday's doubleheader with Jackson Hole, the Blackfoot Broncos had been playing some really good baseball holding an 8-2 record.
With so many games compressed into a short time frame, bad games will come. The Broncos had theirs Monday.

POCATELLO — It has been quite the rodeo season for Snake River High School's Timmi "Full Throttle" Hutchings.
The 14-year old won District Four's all-around cowgirl award and the rookie of the year honors, and over the past week she had the opportunity to compete to a state title at the Idaho State High School Finals Rodeo at the Bannock County Fairgrounds in Pocatello.

POCATELLO — Eight seconds.
That is the amount of time every bull rider wants to hold for while trying to earn a qualified ride.
For Blackfoot's River Stephenson Friday's third go was the last time to earn a qualified ride and hopefully find a way into to today's finals of the Idaho State High School Finals Rodeo at the Bannock County Fairgrounds in Pocatello.
June 12th
POCATELLO — Under threatening skies and even a few rain showers the second go of the Idaho State High School Finals Rodeo got underway at the Bannock County Fairgrounds in Pocatello.
The Blackfoot American Legion baseball doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Pocatello against the Rebels was cancelled due to rain. There is no makeup date scheduled as of yet.
The Broncos travel to Madison for a doubleheader on Thursday.

POCATELLO — Late Monday night the Idaho State High School Finals Rodeo got its first dose of Timmi "Full Throttle" Hutchings.
The Snake River cowgirl blistered the Barrel Racing circuit of the Bannock County Fairgrounds with the night's fastest time of 16.631.

AMMON — A night after watching a late comeback fall short, the Shelley Russets American Legion baseball team retook the field of Hillcrest High School for day two of the Idaho Falls tournament.
While the Russets did a lot of things right during their two games, one thing came back to bite them every time, and those were walks.
June 6th
AMMON — With the bases loaded and two outs and the game tied 8-8, Shelley's Konnor Gilstrap stepped to the plate looking to drive in the go-ahead run.
After working a 2-0 count, Gilstrap took a hack at a fastball that appeared to be right down the middle. But instead of depositing the ball into the outfield for a hit, Gilstrap popped out to the first baseman to end the inning.
