A week ago when Blackfoot took to the field of Thunder Stadium they lost quarterback Taylor Pearson to a concussion, coach Stan Buck was ejected from the game and the team went home with a 27-21 loss.
Friday night the Broncos returned to Thunder Stadium to take on Hillcrest and former Blackfoot assistant Jeff Marshall for the first time.
After coming so close to earning a victory last week, the Broncos finally got over the hump as three Kylar Haddon second quarter touchdowns and a 37-yard field goal from Gabby Botello were enough for a 24-6 victory.
BLACKFOOT â€” Before the season began Blackfoot boys soccer coach Liam Pope said his team had one goal for the 2013 season and that was to earn one of the top two seeds in the 4A District 5/6 tournament and the first round bye.
With one strike off the leg of senior Ozzy Oseguera and some tough back lien defense the Broncos earned a 1-0 win, the number two seed and a first round bye in the district tournament.

IONA â€“ On paper Thursday nightâ€™s game between Bonneville and Blackfoot appeared to favor the Bees who are looking to stay up near the top of the 4A District 5/6 standings.
FIRTH â€” Early in the match against Salmon Wednesday night the Firth High School volleyball team found themselves in a four point hole.
For the next few points the Cougars tried to dig themselves out of the hole, but mistakes were keeping Salmon in front.
BLACKFOOT â€” During the opening 40 minutes Tuesday afternoon the Blackfoot Lady Broncos and the Idaho Falls Lady Tigers were locked in a defensive struggle.
FIRTH â€” Coming into Friday night's home game with Ririe, Firth senior defensive back Brady Oleson had not started a game this season.
Naturally the game plan of the visiting Bulldogs was to attack the side of the field Oleson was playing.
That plan backfired.
