BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot Broncos opened up the 2011 portion of their basketball schedule on Wednesday evening, facing off with the team that handed them a double-digit defeat just a month ago.
On Wednesday, the Broncos avenged that set back by turning in a stellar defensive performance for a 59-56 win over 5A Idaho Falls.
"I think that the biggest thing tonight was rebounding," senior guard Collin Rockwood said. "The first time we played these guys they kicked our butts on rebounding but tonight we did a better job and played as a team."

Firth improves, but falls to Soda-Springs

December 22, 2010

FIRTH — Normally, when a team out-rebounds and out-shoots their opponent from the free throw line, that team will find themselves in the win column.
Not so on Tuesday night as the visiting Lady Cardinals of Soda-Springs were able to overcome those two categories in the stat column in a 57-42 win over Firth.
"Soda-Springs is one of the elite teams in our division, they really are," Firth head coach Sharla Cook said. "They have an excellent team and they did a good job tonight of hitting clutch shots."
