Marilyn, 63, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, after a battle with cancer.Â
Marilyn was born Feb. 10, 1951 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Ross and LaFay Chandler.Â She spent her childhood years in Sterling until the family moved to Wapello.
She married Robert Walters on July 25, 1968, and they had two children, Ricky and Connie.Â Robert passed away on Sept. 18, 1978 from a sudden brain aneurism.Â
Rose Marie Fullmer, 88, a former Blackfoot resident, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Legacy Village in Taylorsville, Utah.
Rose Marie was born March 26, 1926 in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Theodore and Marion
Adams Parsons.Â SheÂ attended school and received a GED after which she attended some college.Â During her lifetime Rose Marie has lived in Blackfoot, Idaho; Afton, Wyo.; South Jordan and Taylorsville, Utah.
On Feb. 13, 1944 she married Darcel Fullmer in Dillon, Mont.Â Darcel preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1968.
Anna Mae Baldree, 88, of Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the
Bingham Memorial Hospital
Anna was born Feb. 25, 1926 in Blackfoot, to Michael Johnson Jr. and Elsie May Paskett.Â She was raised and attended school in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1944.Â Following graduation she attended nursing school and did her nurse's training at Thomas-Dee Memorial Hospital.
On June 7, 1956, Anna married her sweetheart Joseph Timothy Baldree, Jr.Â in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.Â Joseph preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2013.
It's an emotional time when folks take the time to decorate the graves of their loved ones during the Memorial Day weekend or throughout the year. However; emotions can quickly turn to hurt and anger, when it is discovered that what has been placed on those graves has been stolen.
The Bronco pride was palpable as over 240 seniors were awarded their diplomas from Blackfoot High School in front of packed house at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center Friday evening.
The commencement ceremony honored the school's longtime traditions, but was spiced with the humor, reverence and personality that only the "Class of 2014" could provide.
Graduates Gentry Carter and Blake Dewveall had some fun joking with the audience and "taking a selfie" before offering their opening remarks.
BLACKFOOT â€” After helping lead the Blackfoot baseball team to a second place finish in the District 5/6 regular season standings a pair of Broncos earned High Country All-Conference honors on Friday.
Senior shortstop Russell Osborn earned second team infielder honors and Dallin Fairchild earned a pair of honors one as an honorable mention pitcher, the other as a second team outfielder.
Helen Loraine Blackner, 89, of Blackfoot, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at The Willows Care Facility in Blackfoot.
She was born Oct. 14, 1924 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Edward and Lilian Shaefer Tinker.
Helen graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1941.Â Following graduation, she served in the Navy during World War II at the Naval Ordinance Plant in Pocatello.
She married Morgan Blackner and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2001.
She lived in Wyoming, Utah and settled in the Blackfoot area.
Our loving mother, and grandmother, Winona Avilda Searle Thompson, 89, of Pingree, Idaho arrived home to join her loved ones in Heaven, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho,Â surrounded by her loving family as she went gracefully from this earthly life.Â She passed away from injuries due to a fall.
BLACKFOOT â€” Heartfelt were the remarks expressed at the commencement ceremony at Independence High School on Thursday evening.
Twenty-nine graduates marched across the stage at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center to receive their diplomas before a proud and appreciative audience.
"The teachers are Independence are flat out amazing," said class speaker Angelica Longoria. "They will take their time to help you until you understand.
"They believed in me," she said.
At the age of 64, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Craig ended his earthly journey on May 14, 2014.Â
His unexpected passing is truly a bitter-sweet event, ending his time here, but now once again reunited with his sweet wife, Rayola M. Wright, who proceded him in death.
