LAS VEGAS (AP) â€” UNLV coach Bobby Hauck says five players have been suspended and will miss Saturday's matchup with No. 5 Boise State.
Hauck says the suspensions are for violations of team rules and code of conduct. Hauck did not provide more details of the violations.
The players suspended include: freshman linebacker Peni Vea; freshman receiver Devante Davis; junior linebacker Princeton Jackson; sophomore running back Tim Cornett and sophomore linebacker Tani Maka.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) â€” Roads to most of Yellowstone National Park's popular tourist spots, including Old Faithful, are scheduled to be closed Monday for the winter season.
After the roads are closed, park staff are expected to begin preparing for limited, commercially guided snowmobile and snow coach travel during the winter season, which begins Dec. 15.
Erma Gay Gunnell Higgins, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away Oct, 27, 2011 at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Erma Gay was born Sept.19, 1950 in Preston to Parley Mitton Gunnell and Doris Wilcox Hobbs Gunnell. She grew up and attended schools in the Linrose and Burley areas and graduated from Burley High School. She continued her education at Ricks College in Rexburg and at BYU in Provo, Utah.
On March 26, 1976, she married Douglas Eugene Higgins in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. Together they raised two children.
Dolly Elizabeth Chandler Seipert, 93, formerly of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at her sonâ€™s home in Idaho Falls.
Dolly was born on May 10, 1918 in Bancroft, Idaho to William Henry Chandler and Sara Zweifel. She lived in the Spencer and Dubois area in her youth, graduating from Dubois High School.
Glen Fred Sohm passed away Oct. 28, 2011 in Provo, Utah.Â He was born Nov. 25, 1930 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Fred Charles Sohm and Cora Jane Baggs.
James I. Dain, 69, of Bowling Green, Mo and formerly of Chambersburg, IL passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at his residence. James was born in Meadville, PA on January 19, 1942, a son of Wibirt C. and Alberta L. Marcy Dain. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.

BLACKFOOT â€” Organizers of a public charter high school expect their petition to be heard by the Idaho Public Charter School Commission in December and are moving forward with their effort to open the school next fall.
The Idaho STEM Academy, a proposed charter high school focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics education, brought their petition to the Blackfoot School Board of Trustees in September. The board waived the decision during their October meeting to the state Charter School Commission, who will meet Dec. 15.
