Clendon Webster Merrill, 75, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at his home.
He was born June 17, 1936 in Rockford, the son of Kenneth and Uarda Merrill.
He attended Snake River Schools where he enjoyed attending agricultural classes and was active in FFA; he was awarded the District Star Farmer his senior year. He graduated from Snake River High School before attending Ricks College.
Clendon served an LDS mission to the Samoan Islands. After his mission he attended Utah State University where he studied agriculture and business.
Jennifer Michelle Lake, 17, of Pocatello, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Nov. 21, 2011.
Jenni was born on Dec. 18, 1993 in Pocatello to Diana Frederick and Michael Lake. She was the third of Michael and Dianaâ€™s eight children and also has an older brother, a younger sister, two stepbrothers and one stepsister.

For most physicians in the U.S. who open their own practice or take a permanent position at hospitals or clinics, the opportunity to go on medical missions is rare. But Volny, who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and is currently on a nine-month assignment at Bingham Memorial Hospital, is able to schedule her assignments around her medical missions.
BLACKFOOT â€” Started in 1947, the Marine Corps Reserve is once again sponsoring Toys for Tots.
"We just want to make sure kids have a little bit of Christmas," said Bingham County Treasurer Janice Lawes.

BLACKFOOT â€“ Ken Spencer, a nationally recognized artist who calls Blackfoot, Idaho home, will show some of his original inspirational paintings at the prestigious Inspirational Artist Association Christmas Showcase at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City next week.
Spencer will exhibit some recent painting from his trip to Nauvoo and his adventures down the Grand Canyon. His works will include paintings of historical buildings in Nauvoo and breathtaking canyon scenes.
THOMAS â€” The life of Sarah Constance Asmus was celebrated Wednesday at her funeral.
Sarah Constance Asmus, age 18, died Sunday from injuries suffered in a car accident on Saturday as she was heading home from the University of Idaho for Thanksgiving break.
AsmusÂ graduated in 2011 from Snake River High School as the valedictorian of her class and president of the Honor Society.
Asmus is the daughter of Kurt Asmus, a captain with the Blackfoot Police Department, and Elaine Asmus, a science teacher at Snake River High School.

BLACKFOOT â€” Students at Donald D. Stalker Elementary collected more than 1,000 items in one month to donate to the Bingham Crisis Center. The donation drive kicked off Oct. 22 in conjunction with "Make a Difference Day."
The donation drive was organized by Stalker Elementary's Parent Teacher Association and Sheila Evans, the school's Idaho Reads! VISTA representative.
Students and their parents donated 1,300 items including food, toiletries and other items to the Bingham Crisis Center.

Wallace Dean Hart, 85, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at his home in Blackfoot.
Wallace was born on Oct. 7, 1926 in Idaho Falls to Clarance and Seretta Mae Green Hart. He was raised in the Pocatello area and graduated from Pocatello High School. He attended Idaho State University and later earned an accounting degree from Brigham Young University.
