Stewart Lionel Mettz, 69, of Blackfoot passed away Saturday, Arpil 16, 2011 at his home.
He was born Jan. 12, 1942 in Lake Charles, La. He was reared by two wonderful parents, Vernon and Ruth Mettz. He had one brother, Bill Mettz (Becky) and two sisters Sharon Minor (Durr) and Connie Jurischk (Ed).
He loved his grandparents, Jack and Allie Stewart. After graduation from Beaumont High School he went to live with his grandparents and helped his grandfather (Jack Stewart) on his rice farm in DeRidder, La.

BLACKFOOT â€“ Bingham County Commissioners rejected the latest proposal from MSW Green Energy to build a waste-to-energy plant at the Bingham County Transfer Station.
Officials from MSW Green and the president of GGI Energy from Plano, Texas, were in Blackfoot last week to present their latest proposal to the Bingham County Commissioners.
After listening to the proposal from GGI Energy, Bingham County Commissioner Cleone Jolley said, â€śIâ€™m not going to negotiate any project with MSW Green.
â€śIâ€™m going to court; Iâ€™m going to get this settled.â€ť
BLACKFOOT â€” The water level on the Snake River near Blackfoot continues to rise as the combination of additional precipitation, snowmelt and reservoir releases adds to the water's volume.
The Snake River near Blackfoot is expected to crest at 9.34 feet early Wednesday morning before slowly subsiding through the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service's Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service. Action stage is 9.5 feet, with flood stage at 10 feet.
"Right now it's at 9.02 feet," Bingham County Emergency Management Director Craig Rowland said.

Norma Byington, 81, Long time Blackfoot resident, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at The Gables in Idaho Falls from natural causes. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Hawker Funeral Home.
Sandra Rossi, 66 year old Pingree resident, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at her home following an illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Hawker Funeral Home.
L. John Hennefer, 80 year old Riverside resident, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at a Pocatello hospital following an illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Hawker Funeral Home.
Rual Fullmer Campbell, 83, of Idaho Falls passed away peacefully Friday, April 15, 2011, in Shelley. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
He was born Nov. 17, 1927, in Tetonia to Anna Almedia Fullmer Campbell and Bryant Garr Campbell. He was the sixth of 11 children. His family moved from Providence, Utah, in 1900 to homestead the Tetonia dry farm.
He attended schools at Tetonia Elementary, Driggs Junior High and Driggs High. Rual loved sports, especially playing baseball. He began working at a very young age and was a hard worker and a devoted family man.
Wilford Ballard Sr. (aka Wolfie), 79, of Pocatello, died at a local hospital following an illness.Â
He was born March 22, 1932 in Fort Hall to Julius and Katie Hill Ballard.Â
He married Leota Amy Ponzo in Fort Hall.Â He worked as an auto mechanic with Johnsonâ€™s Auto.Â He then went to Fort Worth, Texas, where he took training to become a certified welder in 1959-60.Â
Upon returning to Idaho he worked for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes as a certified welder working in the Soil and Moisture Department until he retired.Â
