Peter Clark Ward, 36, of Blackfoot, Idaho was peacefully reunited with his mom and loved ones on Monday, February 7, 2011 at his home following a brief and sudden illness.
Peter was born May 23, 1974 in Pocatello, Idaho to Daroll R. Ward and Bonnie K. Dimos.Â He attended school in the Blackfoot School District, graduating from Blackfoot High School 1992.Â Other than living in Salt Lake City for a short time, he spent his lifetime in Blackfoot.
Peter worked at various construction jobs.Â In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and spending time with friends.
BLACKFOOT â€” Three individuals have been cited with misdemeanor possession or sale of a synthetic cannabinoid after police issued a search warrant at a local merchant.
The Blackfoot Police Department received information that Hecho en Mexico, located at 1010 W. Bridge St. Ste. K, and served a search warrant at that location. As a result of the search warrant, more than 200 containers of "spice" retailing for around $3,200 were recovered.
IDAHO FALLS â€” The Shelley Russets entered the Dungeon at Hillcrest High School on Thursday night, looking to knock off the top seed in the 4A High Country Conference tournament.
At the end of a thrilling, foul infested affair, Shelley did just that, advancing to the conference title game with a 82-72 victory over the Knights.
THOMAS â€” The Snake River Panthers will be well represented at next weekends State Tournament in Nampa. On Thursday, Snake River qualified 15 grapplers to the state tournament, of which 5 will enter the event as the fifth district champions, as they finished a close second to American Falls 211-196 in the district tournament.
Gabriel Martinez Coronado, 87, of Shelley passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church on 9th and Lee Streets in Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.Â A Rosary service will start at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.Â

POCATELLO â€” Lyle Donald Hoskins, 76, passed away Friday Feb. 11, 2011, at his home in Pocatello. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends and his faithful companion Bosco Dog.
Lyle was born Aug. 25, 1934, in Blackfoot, son of Lyle Donald Hoskins and Mary Reta Wallace Hoskins.
SHELLEY â€” The 4A High Country Conference sixth district wrestling tournament was held on Wednesday at Shelley High School. The twelve time defending district champion Blackfoot Broncos were once again tabbed as the favorite heading into the tournament and they didn't fail to disappoint, as they crowned 7 district champions and qualified 22-wrestlers to the state tournament en route to capturing their thirteenth straight district title with 505 team points.
BLACKFOOT â€” A trial has been scheduled for Anthony Clarke, one of the five individuals charged with misdemeanor offenses from incidents that allegedly occurred during the basketball season last year at Blackfoot High School.
The pretrial conference for Clarke was rescheduled after neither Clarke nor his attorney Dean Brandstetter were present at the first scheduled pretrial. At that time Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Randy Smith said they were near reaching a plea agreement but had yet to meet in person with Clarke, who is attending Boise State University.
John Thomas Clark, known among his friends as â€śJohnâ€ť, â€śTomâ€ť, â€śJohnnyâ€ť and â€śJ.T.â€ť to his railroad buddies, passed away at his home after a short illness with a cancerous brain tumor.
He was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Moreland to Harold Adams and Mary Edna Bunn Clark, joining his older sister Jeanne Siddoway, brother Keith Harold Clark and later a younger sister, Audrey Randall.
SHELLEY â€” The Shelley Russets drilled 11 three point baskets, 4 of those from the hot shooting Chad Leckington, as the Men in Red disposed of the Bonneville Bees 72-52 in the first round of the sixth district tournament at Shelley High School on Tuesday night.
