Hillcrest ends Blackfoot season

February 3, 2012

AMMON — The Blackfoot Lady Broncos got 23 points from junior point guard Kylie Coby but in the end, a big Hillcrest second quarter proved too much to overcome as Blackfoot's season came to an end with a 76-60 to the Lady Knights in the Dungeon.
"We just never could recover once we got down by eleven in that second quarter," Blackfoot head coach Merle Smith said. "Kylie had a great night and she is the point guard of the future for us but now we just have to get that mental attitude and belief that we can win games like these."

SHELLEY — Paul Cannon drilled a three ball from the wing to open the overtime period, propelling the Broncos on a 12-0 run to open the extra frame as the visiting Broncos evened the season series with the Shelley Russets with a 64-53 overtime victory at Shelley High School on Wednesday evening.
"In the break before the overtime the kids were just all keyed up telling each other to go out and get the win and get out of here," Blackfoot head coach Dan Hale said. "They came out and did what they did all night by playing tough defense, rebounding and hit a couple of big shots. They really gutted it out and this is a very good win for us."
