Absentee ballots available for school levy elections

Four school districts in Bingham County are asking voters to approve supplemental levies for their districts.
The school districts are Blackfoot 55, Snake River 52, Aberdeen 58 and Bonneville Joint 93.
° Blackfoot School District 55 is asking voters to approve a $1,975,000 supplemental levy for each of two years. The total cost of this levy over two years is $3,950,000.
° Snake River School District 52 is asking approval of a $900,000 supplemental levy for each of two years. The total cost of this levy over two years is $1,800,000.
° Aberdeen School District 58 is asking voters to approve a $675,000 supplemental for one year. The total cost of this levy is $675,00.
° Bonneville Joint School District 93 is asking approval of a $3,000,000 supplemental levy for each of two years. The total cost of this levy over two years is $6 million. (The Bonneville Joint School District is in both Bonneville and Bingham counties.)
The stated purpose of each of these levies is for maintaining and operating each school district. The levies would go into effect on July 1, 2013, and end on June 30, 2015.
Only those voters who live in a particular school district are qualified to vote in that school district’s supplemental levy election.
Electors can vote in-person at the County Clerk's office in the Bingham County Courthouse from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Same day registration is available to each voter as he/she comes into the courthouse to cast his/her ballot.
In-person absentee voting ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 8.
Ballots have been mailed to those voters who requested one be sent to him or her.
Election day for all supplemental levies is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12.
