Alfonso Escoto Lopez, 64
Alfonso Escoto Lopez, 64, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Blackfoot.
Alfonso was born May 17, 1950 in Michoacan, Mexico to Jesus Lopez and Trenid Escoto.
He was raised in Mexico and came to the United States in 1967. He traveled around as a migrant worker and a farm worker in various areaâ€™s. Farmerâ€™s taught him to drive farm equipment and trucks. That is how he became a truck driver.
In 1985 Alfonso married Eloise George in Blackfoot, Idaho. They were later divorced.
In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, being outdoors, going to casinos, riding horses, training horses and visiting with people.
Alfonso is a member of the Catholic Church.
He is survived by his brother, Jesus Lopez Escoto of Mexico; sister, Maria Louisa Lopez of California; and many nieces and nephews in California and Mexico.
Alfonso is preceded in death by his parents.
A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot with Father Jose Gonzalez officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
