Angela T. Flores, 87, of Blackfoot, passed away, Sunday, Aug.10, 2014 at Bingham MemorialÂ Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born May 31, 1927 in McAllen, Texas, to Anacleto Trevino and Priciliana Gutierrez.Â Angela was raised in Texas.Â Her parents were migrant workers and as a result, her family moved around as needed to work in the fields.Â In 1952 they moved to Blackfoot to work in the potato harvest and she has resided here since.
In 1940 she married Jose Maria Flores in McAllen, Texas.Â He preceded her in death in 1987.
Angela was a member of the Catholic Church.
She was a migrant worker for several years when she was younger, then worked for American Linen for a short time before going to work at BasicÂ American Foods and finally retiring from Sunspiced.
Angela loved animals, working in the garden and shopping yard sales.
She is survived by her children: Francisca Perez, Pete Flores, both of Blackfoot, Jose (Susie) Flores Jr., of Caldwell, Pablo (Jolene) Flores of Moreland, Arthur T. Flores of Blackfoot; two sisters, Sanjuana Trevino and Priciliana Trevino, both of Phoenix, Arizona; 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose; her parents; four brothers, Crispin, Arturo, Roberto and Ricardo Trevino; and one sister, Petra Trevino.
Funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug.15, 2014 at St. Bernardâ€™s Catholic Church. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug.14, 2014 at Hawker Funeral HomeÂ with a viewing immediately following until 9 p.m. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.Â Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
