Anna Mae Baldree, 88
Anna Mae Baldree, 88, of Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the
Bingham Memorial Hospital
Anna was born Feb. 25, 1926 in Blackfoot, to Michael Johnson Jr. and Elsie May Paskett. She was raised and attended school in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1944. Following graduation she attended nursing school and did her nurse's training at Thomas-Dee Memorial Hospital.
On June 7, 1956, Anna married her sweetheart Joseph Timothy Baldree, Jr. in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Joseph preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2013.
Anna was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings including stake Primary music director in Blackfoot and stake Primary president in Salmon, Idaho.
Anna was a registered nurse; she worked at the Thomas-Dee Memorial Hospital in Ogden, Utah. She was Director of Nurses at the Bingham Memorial Hospital and was the first supervisor of the care center in Blackfoot. Anna was also Director of Nurses at Steel Memorial Hospital in Salmon.
She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, remodeling clothes, visiting and music. Anna loved the times spent with family and singing.
She is survived by her children: Edward Ola (Jane) Baldree, of Idaho Falls; Alice Faye (Lloyd) Oldham, of Denver Colo.; Margaret Shannon Baldree, of Richmond, Va.; Phillip Eugene (Virgie) Baldree, of Blackfoot; Brent Ferrell (Cathy) Baldree, of Maricopa, Ariz.; Barton Scott (Janna) Baldree, of Idaho Falls; Richard Kent (Denice) Baldree of Ogden, Utah and Suzanne (Blane) Robbins, of Blackfoot; 38 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Timothy Baldree Jr.; two sons, Jeffrey Todd Baldree and Joseph Timothy Baldree III; her parents, Michael Johnson Jr. and Elsie May Paskett; five brothers Homer Paskett Johnson, Louis Earl Johnson, Whitney Owen Johnson, Stuart Paul Johnson, David Eric Johnson and two sisters, Marjorie Jean Holman and Elinor Stewart.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Groveland 2nd Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Roger Stott conducting. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home and again for one hour prior to services at the church.
