Bart Lee Archibald, 58, of Blackfoot, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Willows Assisted Living Center.
Bart was born September 20, 1955 to D. Boyd and Fauna Nielsen Archibald in American Falls. He attended school in Blackfoot graduating with honors from Blackfoot High School and received a scholarship to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He earned his Eagle Scout Award by the age of 13 years old. He earned his church Aaronic Priesthood Duty to God Award as well. He served as officers in his priesthood quorums. He served a two year church mission to upstate New York. 
Bart returned from his mission to Coeur d’ Alene where his family had moved. He worked for an engineering company on a pipeline as a right way and inspector. He also worked for a mining company. He returned to BYU to complete his college career. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business. After graduating, Bart then moved to Texas for ten years. His employment was in banking investments, the oil industry and the aero space industry. He then returned to Blackfoot and taught an economics class at Idaho State University in Pocatello. He moved to Pullman, Washington to continue his education at Washington State University. There he fell on the ice and hit his head. He was unable to continue his education after this fall. He moved to Boise, Idaho for a few years.
His health deteriorated from his Multiple Sclerosis and head injury. He moved to Blackfoot to be close to his parents.
Bart is survived by his father, D. Boyd of Blackfoot; brothers, Brent (Rajane) Archibald of New Jersey and Roger (Marjean) Archibald of Colorado; and sister, Kristen (Jack) Wood of  Boise.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Fauna N. Archibald.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Blackfoot 2nd Ward LDS Chapel. The family will meet with friends for one half hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Clarkston, Utah Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at condolences@hawkerfuneralhome.com.
