Betty Woodland, 58

Betty Woodland, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, passed away June 10, 2014 in her home at the age of 58.
Betty was born to Thomas Fredrick and Emma Elizabeth Woodland in Idaho Falls, Idaho on June 19, 1955. She graduated from Blackfoot High School. 
She married Thomas LaFave Aug. 19, 1977, moved to Wisconsin where they lived for 25 years, retired to Oregon, and later divorced in 2010 at which time she moved to Utah. 
Betty loved being a mother and loved her daughters more than words could say. She was a dedicated employee and thoroughly enjoyed her purchasing/sales career. Her sense of humor and upbeat personality made her a joy for all to work with. She loved to read, dance, bake, and take showers in the rain with her girls. While growing up Betty and her sister loved racing horses bareback, ice skating, milking cows, working the potato harvests, and playing jokes on each other.
Betty has two beautiful children and three amazing grandchildren whom she adored. They will miss her immensely.
Preceded in death by her parents Thomas Fredrick and Emma Elizabeth Woodland along with her brother Thomas Doyle Woodland.
She is survived by her children, Michelle LaFave and Tiffany(Michael) Houtsinger; grandsons Kaden Houtsinger, Tyler Houtsinger, and Dylan Houtsinger; siblings Gloria Angell, Boyd (Ellen) Woodland,  C. Joyce Orton, Barbara(Gayle) Herrick, Cyril (Kitti) Woodland, and Wanda Holmes. Along with many nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints 1495W South Tamerack (4630S) Taylorsville, Utah. Viewing will begin at 1 p.m. and funeral services will follow.
