Beulah Trebilcock, 93, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at The Willows in Blackfoot.
Our beloved mother and grandmother was born in Wagoner, Okla., Aug. 11, 1919.Â She was the fourth child born to George D. and Adolpha Standlee Martin.Â She was reared and educated in Tulsa, Okla.Â
Upon graduation from Tulsa Central High School she attended Tulsa Secretarial School.Â She wrote for the advertising and society department of the â€śTulsa Tribuneâ€ť and then the â€śTulsa World.â€ť
Â She met John C. Trebilcock while he was stationed in Tulsa in the Army Air Corps.Â They were married June 23, 1944, in Trenton, New Jersey.Â They settled in Blackfoot in 1946.Â
She worked at State Hospital South as a secretary until her first child was born.Â She then became a housewife and mother while working in the office of her husband's business, Jackâ€™s Metal Works.Â
During her life she and her husband traveled extensively to many places in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States.Â It was joked that her middle name was â€śgo.â€ťÂ
She was Past Worthy Matron of the local Order for Eastern Star and a state officer.Â She enjoyed the many friends she made throughout the state.Â She was a member of the Social Order of Beuceant and United Methodist Women.Â She loved playing bridge and played as often as possible.Â She was a longtime member of the Jason Lee Memorial Methodist Church.
Â The family would like to thank the staff and residents of The Willows for their fun activities, kind care and friendship.Â Beulah enjoyed her stay with you.Â
Â She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Carolyn (Jerry) Kennedy of Pocatello; daughter Dr. Peggy Trebilcock, Blackfoot; and granddaughter, Sarah Marden, Blackfoot.Â
Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, five sisters, and two brothers.
Â A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at the Jason Lee Memorial Methodist Church.
The family will meet with friends on Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
