BHS musicians headed to state competition

Eleven Blackfoot High School musicians qualified to compete in the Idaho Music Educators Association (IMEA) State solo competition on Saturday. The state competition is scheduled in Post Falls. The musicians will leave at 6 o'clock this morning to travel by coach with musicians from Skyline, Snake River and Madison. In the front row, left to right, are Paul Cannon plays French horn and Jose Cruz plays trumpet. In the middle row are KennaDee Lott, mezzo soprano, Elisabeth Yancey, flute, and Lillie Wright, alto. In the back row are Sam Nielsen, bassoon, Trey Olney, trombone, Aaron Swenson, tenor saxophone, Dylan Neff, bassoon, and Jacob Harris, keyboard percussion. Jazzmin Lindsay, baritone saxophone, is not pictured.
